enjoying the game quite a bit so far, at first i was put off by the graphics but once you get the hang of crafting, the gameplay is just amazing, so im over it.

Yes because we've never seen any other mmo forum have a "Post your character" topic. Why bother posting if you don't like the topic?

Hey. Name is Ficere, lvl 18 now, wielding all the armor a level 18 can w/o complete loss of concentration, plus a kendo sword and gas mask of course. Currently trying to do the missile silo and mine quests near Watchtower, but most importantly spending literally weeks on researching and building my own cargo ATV :D

I haven't seen so much talking in a game since my EVE trial and cantinas in SWG. Since we all share the love of MMO's and this game it's a common interest. Hence us wanting to talk to eachother :)

Maybe the OP just wants to play with mmorpg.com people? easier to ask here than spam chat in game.

To answer your chat and population question.

The game is packed and has global chat. honestly I think this game is so packed that the devs will be forced to release a second server in Euro. Would kind of mess up that one world thing.

On the weekends the performance drops and with good reviews and word of mouth  more and more people will come. It could force the second server thing.

Main char is called Orya and lvl 17 crafter/rifleman (I'm playing awfully slow but having fun nonetheless and finished my cargo atv in a few hours). :)

Equipment is a bit outdated, but I got half a dozen skill-books in my crafting queue. :P

I'm also working on an "evil dictator" equipment set just for fun.

I thought the concept was pretty obvious... But, okay, I'll explain.

In reading through the various posts, it occurred to me that a bunch of people here, on mmorpg.com, play and enjoy FE. Thus, I thought "Hey... a bunch of people here on mmorpg.com play FE... However, I have no idea who they are in-game and it might be cool to catch them in game and talk, group up, etc...  Maybe I should make a post asking people to post their character names..."

In game I typically only chat in my clan, while passively reading the help channel, chiming in with a tip here and there when I can. Help channel doesn't seem like the place to ask "Who else here posts on mmorpg.com?". Seems much more appropriate to ask here.

Also... you followed-up in a later post by saying you were merely curious.... I think the reaction you're getting is because of the ???? you put after each question.. Using multiple ? is usually an indication of "emphasis" in one way or another... as if you're saying "Why the hell are you people doing this here???". So... yeah.. people will tend to respond a bit more assertively when something comes across that way and it's not warranted.

Cold Steel, Pistols/Crafting...

I have three characters myself.

Happyclam Macnuggets - Lightbearer/crafter. This was my  original, but when I saw what douches a certain clan was, I created a new character to fight specifically against them.

Slappy Macnuggets - Vista rifleman. This was my second, but a redundancy among characters in my clan caused me to recreate a third.

Conall Chickenbane - CHOTA melee. This is my main, so to speak. I switch to the others when I need some crafting done or some resource that I don't have readily available, but this guy is pure combat. I can hack through groups of guys without much problem and in PvE, if you're alone, you're pretty much dead, and if you're not, you better pray that you can take me down before I mow through your friends to get to you. Just for the  record, at lvl 17, fighting against a group of 5, 3 rifleman, a pistoleer, and a melee, I could kill at least 2 or 3 usually before they brought me down. They were lvl 15-20. They finally got smart and got up on the high ground where I couldn't get to them easily. So whoever says melee is gimp in PvP needs to actually  learn what they're doing, really.

For some reason MMORPG is the only forum I can access from work (what I should be doing right now). I love this post as I would love to run with some MMORPGers.

Pistoleer & Armor/Ballistics crafter.  Only lvl 5.  I am looking for Vista or Tech clan too.  Currently going town to town in S1 finishing missions, but hope to land onto S2 this weekend.  I can imagine clans further add to the enjoyment of this game, so please let me know if you are interested!
