They need to balance the classes now for PvP...Ret Pallies are freaking ridiculous and will more than likely continue to be stupidly overpowered for the noob player that thinks they have skill.  Classes like shaman need some serious, unbiased, attention but the developers are basically given card blanche to do what they want...that is why some classes are seriously OP and horribly gimp.

In that article it mentions nethera stating one per expansion. The link to the source is at the bottom of the article. When you follow that link however, the topic has been convienently deleted. I used to spend more time on the WoW forums than in game and remember this topic fairly vividly. Blizzard, DID state one per expansion. Honestly , I could care less as I will never log into WoW again, so what would I gain by lying?

Cat isn't a reskinning by any means.  They're making it so you can level a new character 1-60 so that you don't have to do the same old boring quests.  Well actually it's like 10ish-60 since the lowest changed zones are Barrens and Darkshore.  I don't think they need a new class, however I would love to see one, since I've leveled every class available now to 80 hehe.  I might make another character when Cat comes out just to go through the changed storyline.  Another thing I heard (not from Blizzard) was that they're trying to do away with the whole "This is primarily an Alliance zone, this is primarily a Horde zone" concept.  Making quests available to both factions in the redone zones.  So you could be Horde and run upto Darkshore if you want.  You could be Alliance and do quests in the Barrens other than Ratchet.

I think you fanbois need to stop with the "ignorance is bliss" crap tho. Blizzard said they were going to release a new hero class with each expansion following wrath.The reason they released the DK was due to lack of tank classes. The next expansion was supposidly going to introduce some type of healer heroic class, but instead we get "but gnomes can be priests now".

But when they asked why there isn't a hero class in the cataclysm exp, they answered that they would have too many balancing issues like they had with the dk, and it's still not balanced.
So they won't bring out another hero class until everything is nicely balanced.

Even if Blizzard did say 1 hero class per expansion they have come to their senses and realised that it is a bad idea.

Constantly throwing new classes at an MMO is just plain stupid. It ruins class balance and segements the class pool further.

This is one of the bad things about Blizzard: they are too open with their plans. They say something, then the community either takes it as a set in stone promise or blows it way out of proportion. This is why the other companies never talk to the community.

Its a good thing when an MMO company understands when something wont work and would cause more harm to the game than good over the long term.

Also, since this topic is about half remembering something Blizzard said as some time lets throw another out there. Blizzard's original plan for Hero classes was an extension of the current existing classes. However, over time as the game progressed they implemented nearly all of the ideas they had for Hero classes through class mechanic changes, talent changes and TBC. Since their original plan for Hero classes was rendered obsolete they abandoned it.

Nethaera posted on the Wrath of the Lich King forums that the current plans are one new hero class per expansion pack. That post has conveniently been removed.

I play aDK as an alt and wtf is unblanced about it?  i can tank as good as any other tank and dps as good as any other dps class?  Ive tanked in Toc 25 man ulduar etc with him np, and dps with him.  any other tank class is as good as him if not better and the same with dps, so wtf is unblanced about adk?  Thats right there is nothing unlablanced.  Except each whining bitch of theri class whining about how they are underpowered or OP.  IF you knwo how to play ur class u arnt unblanced at all simple as that.  But alot of peopel on this site fail at anything except whing like bitches, thats why they jump from mmo to mmo.

Blizzard is already incapable of balancing it's 9 10 classes that is has, why would you want to throw more into the fray? Blizzard shouldn't worry about adding new classes until they can learn to balance the ones they have, and I don't think they ever will.

 I do agree that Blizzard is extremely bad at balancing classes.

But honestly now, what class would they ad? From where i see it the game already covers probably all play types

When the DK just came out they were overpowered, ask anyone who was playing then..
