It's Saturday night, and we're sitting here reading and posting instead of actually playing an MMO... Me? My video card died. Asus shipped the replacement on Friday. Until then I've got my wifes laptop!

I just got in, was out with friends, gonna hit the sack cuz I gotta be up early... on a Sunday... yeah I know. Just popped in here to drop a few lines before I crash, no games to play either. Once upon a midnight dreary, while I porn surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", I muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, "404." |

Maybe a mysterious force that governs the Universe is just balancing us out. It could very well be a good thing that we're all getting a break from playing at the moment and soon enough, we'll be blink and some of our dream games will have manifested and we'll be playing them :) |

I just got done of FE actually, I've been spending an immense amount of time playing the game. For me, I don't know why I come here anymore... I should probably stop, it's bad for my health :P ____________________________ "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but I know World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein |

I'm just waiting for SWTOR.

I have this little key on my keyboard that minimizes my MMO and I have mmorpg.com open. Its really great I get to play my game and when im afk or waiting on my buddies to fleet up I can post......
See not everyone sits on a forum with no game to play. I can easily do both. Why would I play a pathetic themepark MMO when I could enjoy a masterpiece like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age? |

When you have hydrospanner everything needs to be torqued. |
I like to read and respond to these because I sometimes get better advice on online gamming from the people here than I do paying for some mag that catters to most of the DEVswho want to sell me a game I may not like at all, but they arn't going to tell me what kinds of problems i'm likely to run into. I would also like to point out that this isn't much different that what you see on most online games between people who are just there doing nothing, or waiting for friends to log in. This is just as good but i'm not taking up space on some server somewhere holding people back from playing the game. Today is the first say of the rest of your life. |

Yeah even this forum is more fun than playing one of the crappy MMOs out there. |

Ive been puttering around online, reading, and on here going through the forums to find a new MMO before I end up back on FFXI lol. I ended up like this over the past week trying to find a new MMO to play, sifting through all the cookie cutter garbage, to even tryin some lame text based broswer mmo crap o.O. Now, im just bored :S

Gathering in AION. What's wrong with being part of a community while doing random tasks and checking to see 'wassup'? Objectiveness is delivered with a lack of personality made for the mainstream but never used for the mainstream. |

That's what happens if you don't want to play WOW anymore :))) You're sitting with the crappy games. Cheers. Throwing out money in the vain hope of finding "anything" even remotely comparable in gaming fun. My guild raided last saturday while I was working on my Battle MAster title and trying to find some mines for my second bike. By mining I was attacked 3 times by the same druid. Beat him twice and noted his name on the list of honorable kills. The last time he tried to fled in the water. Luckily I always wear my 900 reislience gear and ... crafted speed boots. And on Sunday I was there for the new Onyxia 25. Tried 5 times. Our casual guild got her to 12%. Great sessions on both nights. |

Zorndorf, good on you man but reading that made me feel a little sick inside. I wish I wasn't so sick of WoW so I could have so much fun. Keep on enjoying and I hope it lasts a long time. Yeah, I feel sorry for those that think they are burned out. But sometimes a few weeks/months without WOW can do miracles. It's like watching the Tour de France or the end of the football season. A few weeks without cycling or football and you can't wait to watch a new season. I think most people who only want to play WOW 24/7 are far too hard playing and single focused. You should spread the fun. Because there is hardly anything out that's worth your money as an alternative. Unless you want desperately to stay in a specific lore (lotro, st, sw, ...) |

It says absolutely nothing. It is well known that the user base of mmorpg isn't in any sense a representation of the genre. |

Forum activity doesn't necessarily indicate boredom. I browse occasionaly to check if there are any flawed arguments towards Aion, its a pity watching people bored when they can have fun in a brand new game.
Improve Aion's Graphics with a simple text file that you can create by yourself: -Increase in-game Field of View to 175% or more -Increase view distance for players to 100 meters with camera at max distance -Lots of other settings Learn how by reading this guide at Aionsource http://www.aionsource.com/forum/general-guides/84379-definite-guide-aions-graphical-settings-performance-tips.html |

Its good therapy so don't knock it..... the more recent 'new' mmos haven't done much new or imaginative in fact so if you are a mmo veteran there's really not much to inspire you. The mmo genre does seem tired and lost judging by the biggest releases of late but looking head there are a few upcomming titles which just might end up consume your time significantly so catching up on a few good books, films and series is probably the sensible thing to do till they arrive. |

This forum can be very interesting, I would call this an MMORPG.
We level up with our post count correct? We have RvR between threads We do the odd merchanting There is alot of faction inbalance WoW nerds - Trolls- Realists We are online socializing The debates and arguments count for PvP Lousy gankers (teaming up on uneducated console nerds, and or foreigners to the genre) Lots of complaints/rants Active forum Amazing story and Lore
We are a MMORPG |

Franky it says more about gamers than the games themselves. People need to chill out and quit being nit picky spoiled children. There are MMOs out there and some of them are damn good games. People would rather bitch on the forums about that one disliked feature in any particular MMO than play the game and enjoy the dozens of good ones. I played way too late Saturday night. I love the PVP aspect of it. Noone never accepts defeat though. Any post, even a rant, is an achievement. Its like grinding the community awareness level up. Teaching them, making them think. Level up! |
