Heres my reasons, 1) Blizzard themselves make thousands every month selling gold on Their websites, 2) Ncsoft in NA / EU have done NOTHING to stop gold sellers. 3) Try asking NCSOFT have they banned anyone? Come on really? Think, every development company out there that makes mmos can easily kill Gold selling, one, NO currency. Buy stuff with rep points. Let me see one shread of evidence that ncsoft are not behind these spammers! Try getting in game support to ban them. Cough cough, really think Ncsoft would? So far on Kharun (new server) i have 50+ names now on ban, its a joke this. Why not just put adverts in your game instead!

They've rightfuly banned people I know. You having to block new spammers every day means they are doing something, but it's quite simple, RMT companies lose nothing, because they buy accounts in a fraudulent way. |

as everyone else knows, theres usually 2 bots that just appear every day we block them it goes away for a few hours, but think. this is a company that has 0 stance on removing spammers! why? well they are the ones that spam! and sure as cookies in hot milk, will i spend more $$ supporting them |

Seriously people just need to stop complaining. It's not that hard to right click and block everyone once in awhile after initial login and doing the same thing... |
|

Yeah, I hate it but it's not that difficult to block them when you log on, and usually they would come back in a about 2 or 3 hours later, but again most of time I just stay in legion chat anyway. |

Wow, so using that logic how about you show us one shred of evidence that you are not behind the spammers? You want us to prove a negative, lol. Show me one shred of evidence that proves the ridiculous comments you are making. They certainly are banning people, though not as fast as you would like. Just block the spammers for now. Seriously, it is not that difficult. RIP SWG & STO |

Does as shred of evidence include the blocking of character creation on 10+ servers to ban all of the botters and gold spammers? They took it down for 24 hours and while character creation was down I didn't see any spam at all. They are working on it and doing what they can.. only when the char creation was turned back on did I see a new influx in spammers. |

Kill 1 in peace time and you are a murderer, kill 100 in war time and you are an hero! |
it is my belif for a while that what the op is saying is a truth.. and that indeed NCSoft is behind the gold spamming paradise that is Aion. Tbh i alreayd had some suspicious about it in Lineage2 aswel.. but at least there we could screw them and even kill them temporarly breaking their dishonest business. In Aion we cannt even kill them.. :p

Oh. My. God. How many ways can I poke a hole into this troll post? Let me count the ways... 1) Gold sellers acquire accounts by stealing your login and password information. Most of the time, you just hand this sensitive information over to them under the pretense that they will power-level your character(s) up to max level for a set fee. Other times, they just hack your computer and get the information via keyloggers or social engineering. Once they do that, they ahve access to all of your game account's items, characters, and can even get YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION and sell it to the highest bidder... like identity thieves. 2) Game companies charge a monthly fee for most MMO's on the market. They stand to make more money by keeping their customers, the players, happy and satisfied with their gaming time. After all, we are their main source of income. What possible enjoyment do we get from having to listen to people spam badly typed text macros? None. How many people would cancel their accounts and make sure game companies shut down the game if they are actively endorsing gold spam and criminal activity? Everyone (in theory.) 3) Every single online game has rules, laid out in plain English, about hacking and manipulating the game in some form or fashion. The majority of the time such behavior occurs, the offender is banned because of these gross violations of the respective EULA. Everyone who uses the software - including these spammers - has to accept the EULA or any other terms when they install the software (and when they log in to Aion.) When you do so, you are accepting a contract. You violate the contract? Your account is banned. TL;DR version: Conspiracy theory fail. Go troll somewhere else; your stupidity is not welcome here. |

They know RMT brings in more people than out. One smart guy can make a working spam filter with little hassle. A whole company can't? come on. |
|
|
A spam filter should have been relatively easy to be implemented. However, to leap from the lack of a spam filter to NCsoft doing the gold spamming is ridiculous. How about this for logic? If they are the ones selling the gold, why exactly do they need the gold farmers/bots? Oh, that's right, they don't, it's their servers, their code, they can produce gold from thin air. You may not like the company and some things show a certain level of incompetence, but that doesn't mean that they are after the gold selling. |

How about you prove your claim instead? You're the one made that ridiculous claim with this hilarious thread, not the other way round. You claimed that NCsoft is behind the gold spamming? Where is your proof OP? Nowhere? I thought so. How do you want to be taken seriously when you make such a ludicrous claim and then instead of backing it up, you demand others to disprove you. Very well. I'll try and do the same. I know for a fact that NCsoft personnel are in fact alien in disguise, sent to take over the world. Disprove me if you can. |

Obvious troll is... clearly not obvious enough for everyone. :-p --- |

CCP must be into this as well then. Must be the reason they got the office in Asia! |
|
|
Then again, it may not be them who are directly behind it, but by not implementing better antispam measures they are indirectly responsible for the gold spam. Too few people take responsibility for the consequences of their own inaction. Mods by Laz | Diablo II | Median 2008 | Median XL |

It's just too easy for a game dev to make RMT unprofitable. Spam doesn't exist without profit. Therefore, NCSoft must support RMT. Case closed. It's no big deal, lot's of players would play a game with open RMT. I'm not one of them, so I wish NCSoft would have let me know before I dropped my RM on their product. |
