...how many more weekend play like this would you guys play through? During the week this is an awesome game, at the weekends it is an exercise in frustration...lag, lag, crash, crash.

I am loving this game, but at the weekends it is just unplayable, they really need to address their server capacity issues.

I even lost quest progress several times today. I was doing my ATV quests around Oilville and had just completed the second chain when the server crashed and had rolled back peoples quest progress back a couple of hours (oddly we had our exp still) so while I admit I did just get on with it and do the quests again (not like the gully camp is hard at level 9) but still, I shouldn't have to!

I wish these guys weren't so amateur in terms of their support, so many great ideas and a great potential game, I won't stay past 30 days though if they don't resolve these serious performance issues. Quest progress roll back is not cool under any circumstances. If this was Blizzard, NC Soft, Funcom or Turbine people would be screaming...yes, these guys are indie, but please, please fix your servers so we can actually play.

It is a bit of a pain, although the most roll back I have was only 10 mins and that was just over an hour ago,the server does seem to be pretty unstable today, back down again and just hope it wont be to much of a roll back.

It is still only just released and maybe just something players have to plough through for now,for me the reward is well worth the effort so I will be subbing that is for sure.

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Totally agree that the Dev. team needs to upgrade their servers, fix lag, etc. etc.  But on the other hand were talking about a small company that does not have the resources of Blizzard, SOE, Bioware, etc. etc.  All MMOS that I have played on release have run like junk with these same problems.  Its only fair to compare this game to the other top MMOs that have been polished over time.

Give it time..... say 6 months (if the game lasts that long).  If were the devs are still having issues like this on weekends .....well, no excuses then.

It is annoying but my 1 yr sub kicks in soon and I am good with it. Its not even been a month on release and they clean up messes fairly quickly. If the game continues to fill up I would look for a new server maybe.

It will get better over time. You're basically playing (and paying for) a beta. I understand your frustration though. Maybe cancel your subscription and then go back in 3-6 months once they've ironed some things out.

Guess I missed that rollback today. *logs in to check his crafting queue*

Lag isn't that bad for me at all though and I am playing from Europe. Be sure to follow the optimization guides in the playerguides section of the official foums, mate. That helped me a lot to get higher fps at higher settings.

I don't play on the weekends for exactly this reason.

I really think this is the biggest issue this game has going aginst it right now. I hope either a lot of people get tried of this game and quit soon or they open a second server. There are just TOO MANY people in this game. Even without the server issues the towns are over crowded and its hard to get quests done when 50 are all trying to do the same quest at the same time. This game has become a victim of its own popularity.

Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide against your conviction is to be an unqualified and inexcusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. ~Mark Twain

Let me guess; you are around Embry Crossroads and Oilville at the moment?

While I generally agree with this statement, (with all fairness) on the flipside if a company charges the same price for the product and monthly subscription fees as a Triple-A MMO does, one should expect the same service as a Triple-A title from an MMO powerhouse.

I will have to disclose that I am in love with this game and some downtime has not derailed my fanboi-ism for this game (insert fanboi disparaging here).  However I can understand the frustration with folks who are on the fence with this game and the downtimes could be a major hinderance to a long term subscription.  I truely hope Icarus is able to stabilize their uptime to prevent technincal issues being the determining factor in people's decision to sub to this game.  It is a breath of fresh air in the stagnant MMO community right now and I cross my fingers that Icarus can get it up to par.

I love the game until I enter embry.  Then I realize how bad the lag can be and I hate the game.

He must be :) I played today with no quest mob/spawn wait at all around Coppermine/Pinkerton. Mind you, those are lvl 15ish areas (I'm 18 already).

Geez, to make a transport ATV (with improved schematics) literally takes WEEKS! But I will DO it :)
