I got so much |
Fallen Earth was one of rare MMOs i had luck entering into early beta. I did my best to test and report bugs. But the game never griped me as much i expected it will. I rolled several characters but never gotten very high into the game. There was things i expected to be different, some that i felt should be implemented, etc. Still I had feeling there was a game that true MMO fan wishes for. Not all these theme park limited console like mini games. Fallen Earth is true MMO , virtual world. And In beta , Icarus developers and designers would really talk to players every day. Individually. What other developers can claim to have such down to earth attitude ?
On the end the game never clicked for me personally. But that was beta. And betas are on empty side. To truly experience MMO you need people. And i truly hope (and its happening) that FE will do good. Because it deserves to. Its the MMO experience we dreamed about....so its bit rough around edges? But I say better rough , indie , low budget - true MMO than Polished , huge investment , theme park , clone of game that is clone of another game, adjusted to appeal to 11 year olds.
Shortly Kudos Icarus! Go Fallen Earth!

No. I am not playing. Unfortunately i have no time now. So I only play single player RPGs (waiting for Dragon Age) and here and there playing DDO - no sub = casual.
Not really even waiting for some new MMO. Fallen Earth is probably the most serious (and only) attempt on open ended virtual world (that is not full loot/pk/gank oriented) we will get in years to follow. So If , and when I come back to MMO - i will get a place at FE. I just hope by then they will implement player settlements :)
