The Class Strife: Socialists <-> Capitalists pick your side |
so i´ve been playing darkfall for 3 days now, and i can understand why people bash this game... its really hard, and the full loot for everyone when you die is really something to get used to, i think this is were most people start to dislike it. now when i started i got ganked too, killed by mobs, lost all my stuff, im still a newb at darkfall, but i met 3 nice people so far who really helped me out, one stole my mount, just to teach me a lesson on to be carefull with it :P, and the others help me with questions and other things, giving me some spare weapons/equipment. if you know some people in darkfall its a different type of game to me, alot more fun at least :) So if you wanto try darkfall, don't get scared by the first week of playing it, its hard and people know it, just something to get used to and youll have fun with it, at least i have ! ^^
regards, vlad
ps. all the trollers here are just people who don't have the spirit to try out new things, just hanging on to their safe MMO world where their inventory is safe... |

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I have found some nice people out there around the human starting area and killed a couple of the not so nice. The game is light years ahead of where it was in April although I would still have to think long and hard before recommending it to anyone still. We shall see what the October patch brings. |

Darkfall is different from any other mmo's out there, and it's hard to tell why it's good. I do like the game and haven't played any other mmo's for six months, but DF still have issues. It's like the game falls between two chairs. It's not really a PVE mmo and it's not really a PVP mmo. The PVE is ok, but you can't relax due to the full loot pvp. The PvP is fun, but it takes to long to replace the gear you lose and the traveling is boring.
I'm not sure how they are able to balance PvE and PvP, but I'm not going to play a pure pve mmo again. Lets hope the october patch is good. Darkfall tips#1: If its not in your bank, its not yours. |

Glad you are enjoying Darkfall, this game is SO MUCH better than it was at launch. Hang in there, because the first 2 weeks are rough but well worth the effort. :) |

I have Darkfall now! |
The emotions that will erupt when you play DF is like no other MMO. I have ragequit many times (for a minute) when i have done stupid things. And other times when im been a hero....it have been so really happy instead. It sounds like no big deal. But i have never been into a MMO as much as in DF. |

Good news from a new player,

I have been playing this game on and off since launch, and from my experiences DF is a love/hate relationship. Some days, its the best game I have ever played, others, well its just well boring. I can not wait to see what happens when the server transfers happen. |

Or the October "expansion" : ) It better be a god damn expansion - not like the last time - or that game will slowly bleed to death. |

That is the tipping factor that keeps me from subbing on NA1. I played the EU server from late beta into launch and the game just lacked the well-rounded feel of a good mmo. However, it was the exploiting that made me quit. It was fun when people were all just working their skills and having fun. Then the damn acid pool exploit allowed for max rigor. Its no longer fun when so much of the pop suddenly is way ahead of you in power. Of course, other cheats were discouraging as well. I quit a few months back. I was going to re-sub DF with the launch of NA1, but they are allowing the powergaming exploiters from EU to transfer to a fresh server. What a shame. The devs refuse to address serious game flaws that ruin the fun of the game for those of us who play hard, but have limited time and refuse to cheat/exploit. I would caution those starting in DF because if you like it, you will REALLY like it, and it may turn out to really disappoint you. Waited for this game for damn near 10 years from when it was just rendered screens. |

Yes but the six times skill gain is active, you should theoretically catch up to NA1 exploiters in a bunch of weeks. Thats why TheMercs quit and went to Aion, they were pissed off because of the increased skill gain will catch up to them |

Originally posted by phrank ROFLMAO, you really think that is why the mercs quit? Gawd how naive. How about the game sucks and they got tired of the BS and saw that that were no future in playing a game that has been on life support since it launched and won't last much longer at the current rate? You failbots really are a good laugh. Keep it up, this board can use the humor.
Hmm, I read it was because some of them was hit by the banstick. Anyway it was sad they left, but atleast we got the moviemaker back. I still can't belive they went for Aion. Darkfall tips#1: If its not in your bank, its not yours. |
