You have to feel sorry for these people, what they will do for 15 seconds of fame. :) |

Setting max level as the be-all end-all goal in your MMORPG = epic fail move. When did MMO players become so stupid?
DONT PLAY A GAME IF IT ISN'T FUN. Don't wait for the XX level where it supposedly "becomes" fun. Just PLAY and have fun and if you're not, at any level, find a new game. And complain less to the rest of us. Though I'd love to hear your well thought out opinions, QQ'ing is far off the mark. |

Well, it's a bit intense for my taste but I have friends and business associates who think all video games are a waste and those who play are wasting their lives. If you think they are morons then fine. But as one of my ex-coworkers asked me "do adults really do that"? (play video games) I guess you might see that in the end we are all morons to someone. In the end, it really doesn't matter what others think but what a person believes is an enjoyable use of their free time.

Anyone remember RFO? Did you play it? Granted, there were pretty much 0 quests, end-game here reminds me of RFO. I played that 2 months after release to see it die horribly because the req. XP was ridiculous like AION and you had to grind elite mobs to gain a decent amount of XP. You couldn't solo them and if your grind group was attacked by the other faction and you whiped, lol you just lost hours of XP. not sure how AION PvP is, but at least RFO PvP was fun for a little while. I'm just curious what is the redeeming factor to AION. After my experience with RFO, I told myself never to impulsively get a Korean game.... |

Well, I personally like the pvp as well as the larger group pvp fights. That and the setting and it is an enjoyable game for me. The pve is average at best in my opinon. Well, just average, I'll leave out the best as I think even the worst pve quest/mob/AI in Aion is still better than the come of the pve content in warhammer. |

This guy/girl has no life....Getting to level 50 takes atleast 10x24 hours....The game launched for preorder versions on the 20th which is 3 weeks ago. So in 3 weeks he/she played around 12 hours a day..... |

He played for the sake of being one of the first 50. That's ridiculous. Play for fun, group with ppl, discover the game instances and you will enjoy 45 to 50 even if you are not harcore and will need a month to get the last 5 levels... Elyos Templar - Glid WaR Retired - Glide EQ2 retired |

Could not agree more and yes I would never do that myself either. |

I think grinding is fun and ganking noobs like you is fun. Thats one of the problems with mmo's being created ..everyone has to decide for otheres what is fun and not what the player wants
if it was so fun for him than why doesnt the guy want to do it all over again? |

I congratulate him and his mate. They achieved what they wanted to and leveled the way they wanted to. It doesn't have to be other people's cup of tea, but accept that they did what they wanted and enjoyed somewhat. Everyone has different goals in an MMO. Being server, continent or world first on max level can be one of them. Almisael is well known in Germany (or Germany speaking countries since he is Austrian) at least for being a truly dedicated and hardcore player. That they get interviewed now is not really their "problem". If they are the first they will naturally get asked for such things and since they are nice, they reply. No reason to call that "15 seconds of fame" or so. They didn't do it for that imo. They did it because they wanted to achieve a goal. |

It is student holidays in Germany and I suppose Austria too (he is still Austrian). So he can no life as much as he wants and he is done with the leveling. Something I and all others can't say. We'll still have to invest a lot of time, just in different portions than he did. |

It's partly like my Apartment mates PhD. After he finished he vowed never to take another class again. Now he is back to studying. Several years later but there it is. |

The mmo's I've played I have grinded to max level. When EQ2 was released I with lots others grinded too max level at the time was 50. I spent almost 40hrs straight grinding. I find quest dull and bothersome. Running back and forth doing quest is not for me and many others. Grinding for me is fun I enjoy grinding the characters I played too max level then I feel I can do my own thing without being hindered from mobs since I don't run quests at all. |

I might be wrong. But if they actually waited for the rested exp. level 49-50 will take 30 hours instead of 47 hours. Since from what people told me in the asian gaming community, level49-50 take roughly 30 hours. |

If you play normally, you get XP pretty nicely from high level dungeons as well. I am personally in no rush to reach the max level. "The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in." |
