I've been looking at Aion for a while now...well, how could I not? They have advertisements everywhere. And I've seen good, and bad things about it. I can honestly join the bandwagon, and say it atleast LOOKS like WoW with better graphics. But is 'better graphics' the only thing Aion really offers? Is there any special feature that really makes you go 'Oh wow, cool!' or makes you rethink your strategies in battle? What features can separate this game from WoW? |

Nothing "new" in Aion really, if you are happy with your current game, stay there. If not and you fancy another MMO, it might be worth your effort to have a look I need a new MMO world to call home as Tom Chilton keeps destroying them |

I don't think a new game needs to bring anything new to the table to be good. Aion is WoW-lite in my opinion. Easier to play than WoW, but maybe a little bit harder to level up than in WoW. Can't think of any unique features. Some might say flying combat, but that seems more like a pita to me than a feature. |

The only thing that is truly different is the pvp (or pvpve if you will) focus, level 25+. Other than that the leveling curve is steeper than WoW is currently and there is air combat. I like it, but if you are looking for something not at all like WoW, then this isnt the game you're looking for. |

If you go into Aion looking for problems and comparing it to other MMOs you wont last 3 days. If you go into Aion to have fun and experience a differen't type of MMO you MIGHT have fun but you WONT find a different type of MMO. I personally think it's one of the worst major market MMO's out there right now. The more I play, the crappier it gets. A great legion doesnt exist because the game community is worse than wows. Don't bother going by what all the fanboi's say, it's a waste of time. Half of they stuff they claim to be BS is actually true. If you can avoid paying for it, try it yourself, I do agree it's the only way to truly decide whether or not you like it. But FFS don't waste your money on it unless you have money to throw in the trash. See, I can do it too. |
