That would be nice but you cannot get any with a free account.I tried. The game played fine for me the 1st day but the 2nd day the cinamatic was downloaded and it displayed upon opening up the game client, which froze my puter.

I would have been very happy to continue playing the game if I could have found a way to turn off the opening cinematic. But I could not, nor was i able to log into the forums with a free account. Seems they are doing everything possible to chase away any prospects of future profit with stupid policies like that.

Keep your game and I will keep my money.

Whats your specs? also, if you give them a measly 6 bucks, you can have a premium account

FREE does not mean $6, LOL!  I have new computer with 2ghz  dual processor and 4 gb of ram, there should have been no problem playing this game. Other than the opening movie,it played fine at a high graphics setting.

So tell me where in my free software it said I had to pay $6 for support??? LOLOLOL! It did not say that anywhere, perhaps that was posted on the forums I was unable to access with a free account. LMAO!

Free is free and if they expect any item store sales, they should be prepared to give at least a little support..

Turbine support in any of their games is not very good and very slow. I have been trying to get help for my AC account for almost 2 weeks. The forum says 1 to 2 days for a response. Nothing yet

You can post on the F2P part of the forum with a F2P account. Someone can probably help you there.

If WoW = The Beatles

Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

A f2p account has limited posting abilites and can read all forums, and also has self service customer support. All of that is clearly stated on their site.  www.ddo.com/vip  I would check the f2p forums and ask for help there, you should never expect amazing customer support with a f2p game.

Go to
DDO install folder\raw\en

Rename the ddo_into_cinematic.bik file to something else.

It worked with the old version of the game. If it doesn't work with the new one, you can always change the name back.
