Is this game worth investing time into, maybe even some cash? I've downloaded the game and played a bit but i find the low level community a bit...stupid. I enjoy grouping and there isn't much of it.

should I stick it out? when does the game get better? or are the first few levels all you get?

Since the game is now F2P you will have to deal with some folks who are immature, if you start getting into the "premium" content, I'm sure you'll find a better group of folks.

Good luck and happy dungeon crawling.

I started playing about a month ago and I really enjoy it. I like instance based missions and more in depth storytelling.

There is plenty of grouping but it will be hard for you to find a Pug, it seems like you would need to join a good guild and you would be set on getting some groups.

Well, seen how progress in DDO is virtually impossible without grouping. And people are playing in high levels...

There must be some grouping going on ;)

Guess I should have posted that too, I was told you could earn the points to be able to unlock all the content in the game...is that true or do I need to pay to get past level 3?

At lvl 2 I looted a Copper Sigil which changed my level cap from lvl 4 to lvl 8, and there are higher-level Sigils that do the same.

my suggestion, buy the 6 dollar points. Its not much, but you can probably either buy a pack or just save it to increase with favor. But buy the cheap points because you get upgraded to premium status, which gives you 4 character slots instead of 2 now and you get a slight more stuff than a free account. Or what you can do is just buy the 20 dollar 1500 points and let that increase, but on a sale weekend, you can come out with 4-5 adventure packs.

Also, look for your sigils before buying. If you have the points to spare (like if you purchased them) then go ahead and grab the sigil, but if you don't want to waste money, just keep looking. And with group, just put up a LFM through the community tab. Within minutes i usually get a full group that will run a few quests, but looking for a guild helps as well. To this date, even though i'm in a guild, i have never had a lack of grouping. So just stick with it and it will eventually grow on ya.

I'm positive about what I play. If it ends & I get negative, I move on. This is how we not troll.

Game is worth it : ). So give it some time. Population is still amazing, so DDO re-launch was really successful, that's not only press talk. 5+ instances of Harbor and Marketplace on entirely new server means lots of players enjoy it.

I can tell you for sure, that there are *huge* news coming for DDO, as Update 1 hits Lamannia test server. Especially one feature which people asked for since 3+ years of this game's history.

Plus, new player experience areas are getting some fine-tunning, more customization options are coming, and some unique things like more epic items and... new quest versions may come as well. It's certainly a good time for DDO.

Nothing to look at here. Move along.

Grouping in DDO is better once into the harbor quests.  However, from my experience (only L5) it's not so much EQ styled grouping (tank dps heal, with regular pulls).  Its more like a mad rush of players ripping through the quest at top speed.  On the good side, I have yet to run into a single bad PUG, and that by itself makes the game worth it!

If you roll, the Cannith server is the one I'm used to, and its decent.

You can get past level 4 cap by getting a drop from quests.  That will get you to 8.  I hear you can do the same for higher levels, but it's harder.

Those are zergers, they give the questing in the game a bad name. They usually just grab random people, don't talk and just fly on through. They usually do this for  Favor Points and not the full xp bonus. There are people(like me) who like to grab all the bonuses for full xp at the end of the dungeon, not to mention to find names that have good loot.

DDO replability is good and much better than AOC. I play DDO for favor but within the level range, don't care about XP at all.

I like to do elite quest for all my characters because they are all different experiences, although they are same quest but unlike the other games, you know the quest but you may not know the class.

I suggest a few class worthy to play with, sorcerer/wizard, Bard, Fighter/Barbarian, pure Healer and rogue. So 5 characters actually needed in DDO.

If you have alll 5 characters at max level then you could retired for a period of time.

You may run through the quest but only the one you wanted to grind for favor, otherwise, the quest is only fun to play within quest level range. Imagine every group members doing their best but wiped out in elite? The wipe not because too noob to do but too difficult.

Level 8 tombs quest ain Necropolis is fun to play. On EU server, everyone will do it as a must to do. At least at the time when I playing DDO. But now on US server, the tombs are only for dead.

Desert is also so popular to play with on EU server, but not on US server.

Restless Isle is a rare to play dungeon, I wish Turbine could make some promotion on these quiet instances.
