I predict CATACLYSM is having a launch around Apr 20th. Motivation: patch 3.3 Nov. Testing Beta January - 3 months. April gives room before the vacation.

As it will be the most important product in sales for 2010, I think it deservers to be discussed in the general MMO discussion....

I only hope ST will not be launched in the same period.

My estimate for that game is ... Sep 2010.

We can forget the rest as that's 2011 or not even worth mentioning.

Competitors be warned... don't make the same mistake as Mythic did with its launching date.

Ha. Release date is pretty far down the list of mistakes they made. Other than it being a year too soon.

IIRC, WotLK release was announced after Warhammer's.

One of my concern is there's so little info on STO so don't know what to expect.

SWTOR is probably release next year too.

Tera is probably releasing spring next year in Korea.  So have a slight chance to be release at the end of year in the US.

Don't think there's much else to mention.  Quite sad.

Wouldn't get excited about Cataclysm. The storyline shift sounds pretty interesting, but in game it translates to "PUT MOAR LAVA HERE". It's pretty clear that the fundamental gameplay will be the same old stuff again (faceroll heroics, farm badges, faceroll raids, hard modes, new recoloured mounts and pets), so if you're not enjoying WotlK you probably won't enjoy Cataclysm. There aren't many other notable releases though. The Star Wars thing will suck. Maybe it's worth buying Cataclysm to see all the new stuff, should be able to clear the bulk of it except the achivements/hardmodes in 2 weeks and then unsubscribe for 18 months until the next WoW expansion.

The Secret World? Although in light of recent news I have a feeling it may well be more of a 2011 release.

I would be hesitant to put SWTOR on the list.  Bioware is very much like Blizzard, they don't put half finished games on the market.  I think they have a ways to go on that game.

Blizzard has never released a game or expansion within 6 months of announcing it.  So I don't expect Cataclysm to be released until fall sometime.

I think STO might release before either of those two.
