But the whole discussion here wasn't about that. It was about that massive grinding for XP promotes botting and makes it easy for botters. Cheers |

I also played on Chinese server and it was version 1.1 which had even less quests and I leveled up w/o any problem. So, what's your excuse again??? You are just a RACIST. |

that's right I know because I DID NOT grind at all. I have to delete so many quests because I level up too fast. old quests are just too low for me. I bet you die all the time in the game that's why you said "Quest didn't give you enough xp" because of death penalty. You lost part of xp forever, even you can fix your xp but only part of it. Guess what L2P. |

LOL! Nice try. I play a chanter and died maybe three times so far. Dead penalty isn't that harsh at all as some people whine about. People forgot about how EQ1 and how EQ2 was around launch. Now those were harsh deathpenalties, shared XP debts when in group and long corpse runs. And when you die yo don't lose any XP, you go to the soul healer and poop. you got your XP back. Just costs some coin. But we are derailing the topic. As it's about the insane botting and spamming that's going on. Cheers |

You didn't read the post, either. You only recover part of xp, not 100%. |

Your Quitting because of one small reason? you have a block spam button, use it. takes a second to right click on a name and press enter. I havnt seen many farm bots yet i dont think, might change though... |

You guys complaining about bots should just be complaining about the failboat set of players that are making those bots spam in the first place. the truth is, they wouldn't do it if it wasn't working. yes, thats right: its the players fault for buying fake money with real money because they are too fail to play the game and earn money/items/abyss points the proper way.
the fact is: any mmo will have spammers, because people STILL BUY FROM THEM.
if you dont like to right click a few people and click block to seriously end the spam completely, you need to stfu and stop playing MMO's. |

There will always be those to some extent. But Blizzard seems to have become rather effective in dealing with those. From my experience the Asian games tend to have worse problems with those. I'm not quite certain as to the reason. |

I would hardly call that effective. Blizzards actions against gold spammers and bots have had a negative effect too. A rise in account theft. Due to restrictions to trial accounts, it has become increasingly attractive for gold spammers/farmers to steal accounts. So they can spam with high level characters, create new characters that are completely free to use trade channel and whisper, rob the account clean of gold instead of farming, using the gathering skills of high level characters. All without even paying for the account. |

Originally posted by Cammy I fail to understand how someone that likes the game will just come in guns a blazing at anyone that says they don't like the game. Why should they expect flaming? He was only posting an opinion, their own opinion. They weren't flaming anyone, so they shouldn't expect flaming back. You like Aion and that's great. We're glad your happy. But some of the fanboys need to realize that not everyone is going to like the game.
And yes people out there do care to hear why they no longer want to play. Seeing as they supposedly enjoyed the game. People on the fence want to know the good and bad. Who is going to tell them the negative aspects of the game? People like you? hardly. Honestly I wished I had seen more negative posts before I pre-ordered it. I wouldn't have wasted my time in beta as I feel it is hands down the worst mmo experience I've ever had. From the super narrow and linear world to the mobs with "awesome" names like 2 day sparky to other players running around with names like dickbutt. Again, only my personal opinion and no amount of flaming me for saying it will change that. |

Yes, I've heard about that. Its one of the reasons that Blizzard has added digital authenticators to their system. I've not heard of anyone losing an account protected by one. I wish more games had that option. |

Originally posted by Wraithone Your NCsoft account and your Aion account are different. That means that, if people are smart, they have kept those two different. If the game account is somewhat compromised, all they need to do is use the NCsoft account to enter the account page and change the game account. |

Aion has some very, very serious design flaws. NCSoft West is also understaffed and underfunded. Combine the two and you have a lost cause. I knew the game was seriously flawed, but still bought it, with lowered expectations and the hope I'd get at least two months of fun out of it. Level 35 now, two weeks in. I had fun for a while, but now I can't find fun any where. I think we can all accept that AoC and WAR are seriously flawed titles. I got a lot more fun play out of each of those titles than I've been able to squeeze out of Aion. Aion is complete MMORPG Junk Food. It may taste good at first, but it's all empty calories and will leave you with some serious indigestion. I know a lot of people are still excited, but think back to the opening month for AoC and WAR. People were still pretty hyped up about those games long enough to pay for at least one more month. It takes time for the flaws of a game to become obvious and the fun provided by the novelty of a new experience to wear off. Aion is just another overly-hyped, but fatally flawed entry into the MMORPG market. A lot of MMORPG developers seem able to go through the motions and produce a title that looks good on the surface, but no one in recent years seems to be able to succeed when it comes to overall design, content and world design. The template is flawed. WoW worked because it had the proper mix of many elements. Since the release of WoW, most MMORPG efforts have borrowed many elements from WoW, but they have failed at assembling individual elements into a successful whole. Unless you can "out-WoW Wow", trying to mix and match features is just a recipe for failure. Want to know more about GW2 and why there is so much buzz?
