I'd like to see the developers add an in-game polling/voting feature. Why not find out exactly what your customers want, quickly, and effectively? I'd like to see an in-game poll that asks ME, the paying customer along with my other fellow players exactly what they want in the game. For example you could take your list of 20 high-priority bugs and ask in the game using an in-game form to ask which bugs are most important to you. This way the developers could focus their efforts on bugs that matter the most, to the most people, voted on by you and me. 1 vote for each account! They could gather statistics based on the votes, and which customers are voting. They could use this data to make people happier. It needs to be IN the game because people are much more likely to vote in a poll if it's presented to them while they play. It also makes it less likely that non-players are voting. What do you think of this idea? Have you seen it in other games?
Example: Please Select 2 Improvements which you feel are most important to you: 1. The graphical engine needs to be optimized. 2. Add new Animations 3. Add a greater variety of choice when designing characters. (More tattoos, hair styles) 4. Add the ability to custom paint armor. 5. Add a large raid instance to Sector 3 6. Add a large raid instance to Sector 2 7. Add a large raid instance to Sector 3. 8. Player housing.
See, you could vote and now the company knows exactly what it's customers want... active customers who are playing the game right now. |

This idea has been tossed around before, and I think it would be a great idea for ANY MMO, not just Fallen Earth. That being said, there is a bit of a catch 22 with such a system. If you release the results of the polls, players will expect the poll's results to happen, and whine when a winner hasn't been implemented. On the other hand, if you don't disclose the results, the devs could make whatever changes they want and fall back and say "Well the polls said this is what people wanted" even if nobody wanted the change. Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |

why don't you post this on the FE forum instead of here? i doubt the devs have at this current point in time much time over to search other forums for ideas and criticism. |
