So I'm here to tell you a story. It's not too long so I hope you read it all because It's worth it.

All events take place in the Vaziel server:

Last night i was roaming around the abyss...looked at my map and noticed that sulfur fortress and siel's eastern fortress were going to go vulnerable in 45 minutes. So I started getting a group together. Me and my 15 compatriots flew to sulfur fortress expecting a regular asmodian attempt to take our fortress, and it was. They tried valliantly(they even owned all the artifacts). Well they couldnt take it. Next thing i know I see in [General] chat people madly pinging a location at siel's eastern fortress. We thought "just another asmo attempt". We were wrong. When we got to the fortress we beheld an unholy sight!

From what we could see in our mini maps there were 350-400 asmos storming for the fortress. And there was a measley 250ish of us elyos inside the fortress to defend it. We knew that staying top side meant waiting for death. So we all went down the corridor to stand by the diety general and make our final stand.

The asmodians pounded at the fortress gates! not just the front gate but there was another 50+ at the oposite gate as well. Not only were there 400ish asmos storming the fortress but there were more on the way... you could see more and more asmos funneling in from all directions...

they broke through the gates and stormed down the corridor down to where we waited...all 250ish elyos warriors. and the CLASH! we fought for what seemed like an eternity...the megadeux was behind us beating down the wall of asmodians as we cut away at their front lines. after about 20-30 minutes of fighting we started moving forward. We were pushing them back! Back up the corridor we fought them. and out to the top of the fortress. Asmodians scattered back to their rally points, crushed.

250ish elyos held off and the pushed back an unheard of 350+ asmodians(the lagg was intense and i crashed twice haha i had to shift+f12) So we pursued them into the depths of the abyss. raiding parties went out and took back every single artifact(the asmos owned all of them) and claimed them for elysea!

more raid alliances were formed to pursue the asmodians and take back the artifacts.

In our darkest hour we stood tall and fought back the hell fires! And arose scarred, and burned; but victorious...

It seemed hopeless at first but we held our ground...I have a renewed confidence in my legion and the elyos. And I am sure that this is the best damn PvPvR I have ever played.

I'm glad I pre-purchased Aion. For those of yous still not convinced...I hope this story pushes you over the fence.

The elyos in the Vaziel server still own the entire bottom half of the abyss(no one owns the top-cept the balaur).

Sounds like an immensely great time!

Good luck on recording something like that without crashing your game, you'd need one HELL of a machine.

According to some people on this site good graphics and good animations are not possible together with large scale fights. So you and your 800 friends are obviously lying.
As well as all EVE players of course.
And all Crysis Wars players.
Oh and BF2142 players.

oh i haven seen video of those yet but they must be very close to be ready to clash

Zergs are normally lame, until at some certain point of sheer numbers it becomes amazing.

Honestly dudes. You can beg and whine for  vid all you like but theres no way anyone can produce one. I wouldnt dream of trying to record while something that hardware intensive is goin on. talk about crash city...Honestly your just gonna have to take our word for it. It happened ask anyone from vaziel server who was there...400ish asmos vs 200ish elyos(and a really big diety general) and we won. It still baffles me. Pretty much everyone had crashes. Even some of the best pc's cringed at the load they were bein handed. shift f12 helped out alot tho. without it i woulda crashed alot more.

Did you have the option to scale the gfx checked in the options menu ?  Wish I was there but sadly that's not my server....   :p

you are saying that no-one recorded this? That dosent sound right at all. First thing people do in situatuins like that is screenshot or video. 

Dig a little with your friends and I am sure one will have one.

I'll do some digging ...See if anyone took a screenie... but honestly to take a video would require a SERIOUS system I'm talkin something like twin geforce GTX 295's with an amazing quad core procssor... and prolly a seperate pci card solely for video capture...honestly i dont know too many ppl runin that. Plus they'd still have to deal with the crashes so the vid would be pretty choppy and in several parts.... I'm sure some one was crazy enough to attempt though XD. It was probably someone on the asmodian side. Usually how it goes. THey make a "Asmodian: Fortress raid part 1/2" video for youtube of them raiding...not normally the other way around. Most of the time ppl being raided are busy scrounging up a resistance force...

I shoulda screenshotted...I told myself to...but was afraid of crashing again XD haha. Got some nice pics of the megadeux before the raid started tho :D

Still need to get by the fact it s boring gameplay, to get there, and once there, one of the worst combat system to date. This is my opinion of course but hey to each their own.

It's combat system isn't bad. Some people are just not very good at using it. Honestly if your in the abyss and your trying to fly and fight with Auto move-to-target turned off your going to have a seriously hard time. In the abyss the auto move-to-target is your best friend. makes fighting so much easier. you dont have to worry about being close to you target or whatever.

I will admit its got its bumps but definitely not the worst to date. There much worse out there. saying Aion's is the worse to date is like saying vanilla is the only ice cream flavor around....

I dont think it was 250 vs 400.   Our last stand at the deity general, we definately had only about 75 of us Elyos left, I would guess that the asmos had around 250 total, and we had closer to 150 at the start.   Still, an intense fight and a lot of fun, I recorded a few seconds of the fight just as a test to see if it'd wreck my comp, but i managed to keep it together :P.  I'll see about uploading it on youtube tonight when i get home.
