Lol well we got our first dose of "massive" PvP today. It was VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY similar to warhammer in the sense that there was a keep, a door to bash down and a keep lord to kill. Oh also a huge laggy ass zerge of players from both sides.

The PvP appears to be your basic wow/warhammer/conan button mash PvP. Sure some skills are better than others but your basically just using what ever is refreshed at the time so no real choices going on (this is different in 1v1 PvP but that is more rare than a bigfoot movie that isn't actually a guy in a ape suit).

If it wasn't for the lag it might I say might be fun but the lag really prevents any real cohesion from being used. Oh I almost forgot, the game client crashed for all of us NUMEROUS times during this "battle". For me personally it crashed 4 times. After the 4th time I didn't bother logging back in and went to watch TV. And before you say it my comp rocks and I have a cable connection that gives me over 30mbps download speed, so if I wanted I could down load your momma from your living room, suck her ass right into your comp.

There are SOME fun aspects to the PvP like the winged combat and we had a BALL kicking the snot out of some guild called [name withheld to protect the innocent] the other night in the arena. They were 5-6 on 1'ing noobs that were trying to turn in a quest that makes you go into the arena. So we went with a full group of lords and schooled their whole group 5-6 times in a row. We killed them many many times and only lost our cleric one time total.

Chasing people down and having a fight in the air is very fun all the while watching your flight meter as you don't want to run out of flight time.

As far as the "siege" warfare goes though it fails just as hard as any other MMO ever did. To bad really, I was hoping that it would get better as games were released but it seems that game companies are steadfastly determined to make the same mistakes over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...Fuck I figured even a blind squirrel would have gotten a nut by now. As for the Aion the blind squirrel, he shall starve and wind up in the blind squirrel grave yard (like the elephant grave yard just not as cool) as the rest of the MMO/blind squirrels.

Quite good post actually.. the smiliriarities with WAR are very obvious.. unfortunaly, like WAR, they simply dont work.

Not saying you couldn't have reactivated it or bought the box, but your experience (with lag and crashing at least) are 100% different from a lot of players' experiences, including my own. Seeing that you were already extremely negative even BEFORE the game's launch, well let's just say people won't believe you that easily.

I don't know.  I've seen some others relating this same type of experience on the aion forums.  I hope it's wrong or at the least exaggerated because I'm tired of games offering epic PvP battles but noe being able to support the epic PvP battles.

It's getting really old.  So far it's been fine but I haven't been in any fortress siege as of yet so can't say for sure one way or the other how it goes.

So if you are using whatever is at hand at the time I bet you perform very poorly. In large scale combat most of my spells has a specific target. The sleep goes to healers, the slow goes to melee fighters, the DPS goes to any other DPS/Healer and the stuns goes to either Sorcs or healers.

1v1 is rare, for NOW. When more people get into the abyss it might be more common. However, small scale PvP (3-3 / 4-4) is very common. This will show which player group is the most coordinated and skilled.

PS: Also, people need to lay off the 56k modems. This game deserves no rumor of being a laggy game in any way. Its the most UN-laggy game I've played to date. It's a monster in performance. It has crashed a total of 4 times to me though which I think is not much of a deal at all.

The game is just boring mediocre crap we've seen so many times before and the flying is not a plus for an Assassin.

It's not a Pro,it's a Con...for melee chars.

As for the mass PVP, I knew it was going to be laggy and barely playable, that was to be expected and it will be that way for long time to come, it's inevitable and game companies should stop trying to implement things like that, it will never work and it will never be enjoyable and entertaining.

I'm trying to at least hit 50 before I drop this game but I will be droping it when my payed time is over, that's a 100% certainty

You obviously didn't read my post. Like i said I have a cable connection and a down load speed of 30mbps most of the time but at it crappiest I get 20mbps. So unless your talking about your own 56k modem your full of it.

I love how my simple not very troll like post has been flammed as if it were a condemnation of the game. All I said was the PvP is your basic button mash laggy mass PvP we see in every MMO. Prove me wrong, don't just condemn my words and call me a troll maybe post a video of lag free awsume mass pvp?
