"Short update before the weekend ... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before we head into the weekend we wanted to provide you all with an update on where things are at right now. 1.05.6 is on the test server at the moment and we are going through the testing for the veterans system and the new Iron Tower instance. The current plan is for the update to most likely have another two weeks on the test servers before launching on the live servers (testing permitting of course!) Then the 1.06 update will roll onto the test servers. We are currently aiming for first testing the Guild Renown system and the Tier three raids in the first phase of 1.06. It is most likely that 1.06 will be treated as a cycle in the same manner that we did with 1.04 and 1.05 with the key new feature coming first, then the subsequent updates also containing new content. Our focus as soon as 1.05.6 is done will be first on testing the new raids and testing the guild renown before moving onto the other features. Have a great weekend you all. As soon as the current update 1.05.6 is done on test and then released to live and not very long after that (as they like to measure how things go once hitting live server) there is a good chance we could see Update 1.06 before months end. Which puts it right on que from suggestions a fair few months ago. Timeline is good. With a process implemention on test server:
So both a PvP and PvE focused update!

When you get a chance to test it take note please how large the update is. I'm always curious how big the updates are for some strange reason. Sounds like it may be a 1 to 1.5 gig patch. Maybe I'm wrong it is late... .. .... .- - . - .-. --- .-.. .-.. ... .-- .... --- .-. . .--. --- .-. - .-.-.- |

Yes it is late and wondering why I am awake haha! As the update will be released bit by bit will take a while to get full impression. Sometimes when an update goes on the test server and you update that same update can appear less when it goes on the live servers but we can get a rough idea forsure. I actually just placed an order for a new 2TB HD earlier today so im good for space! I'm not sure if it will be that big. Hard to say without knowing what is coming with the T3 raid stuff yet. They have been a bit quiet on the test server forums beavering away on bringing this in on time.

Really looking forward to this patch. A real revitalization patch with new game aspects that is really needed. Hope testing goes well and fast so we can see this on live soon. |

I am one of the early adopters of AoC (I started playing 3 days after release), and I am now looking to come back when I get my new Falcon Northwest PC. Since I haven't been following the game for about 5 months, could you explain what the T3 raids and PVP towers are? Thanks in advance. |
