Hey all,

as you mightve read in my other post i was wondering if i should buy darkfall or fallen earth, so i first bought fallen earth, tried to like it, but i didnt. now i couldn´t help myself from buying darkfall (aghh, my impulsiveness!>.<). 

i already installed it before i bought it via torrents, so i could directly play after 10 minutes of patching, logged in, made a dwarf ( i love dwarves, in all games, except the wolfy race in darkfall also seems nice, i r dorf! ), and.. and... i totally LOVE it so far!

an AI that gives the idea that they actually think, running away, getting friends, switching bow/melee.  harvesting from every tree/stone deposit in the game, not just nodes, no actual level, just different skill levels. i totally love it so far, its nothing from WoW ( just what i needed, i've played that game too long...)  

if you like a bit more challenging game, try Darkfall,  challening and fun, at least, for me :D

It's a decent game. I pay attention the patches and updates they are doing. Many of my initial concerns might be ironed out and I might go back.

How is the EU server for population?

Because it has been borderline-vapourware for several years. The game is trying to do something radically different in the genre, so that automatically makes it a failure? I am by no means a Darkfall fanboy, never played it even, but I can still respect the developers who actually worked on making this game very well knowing it wasn't going to ever be main-stream. I may not like Tasos's personality, and there's definitely been some fishy and odd things that pop up, but so far I haven't really heard any shouts of "SCAMS!" like Mourning or Dark and Light.

Personally, I've been waiting for the trial to appear, if it ever does. 

I agree, this game is so awesome it's not even funny... Been playing since launch and absolutely LOVE Darkfall.

Same here.  I am also impulsive but since my wallet is tight, I'd like to try it before buying it.  However UO was a favorite of all time and I know there are many similarities between DF and UO in open world and pvp aspect.  I also would like to wait and see how Mortal is going to be.  But thats the other UO familiar pulling on my brain stem.

If you had checked select20 forum history, you'd seen that he has found a new game.  He is playing a completely new and groundbreaking mmo. The game is called Aion, and it's nothing like WOW.

play the game, don't sit there and try to level your shit up all the time otherwise you'll get bored to fast. started in April and i haven't looked back

I don't play it myself but you didn't state anything. I you would have aid: I think the game sucks because of:... We could respect that.

Troll cuts both ways so what he said is no different and I respect his opinion especially since he is totally correct and you have no clue since you admit to not playing the game.

I have played the POS and I don't dare say much really against it on these boards or I will get banned again. The Mods ban people that really give proof against their favorite MMORPG so often, I wonder just how many of them are really the failbot shills we see on here all the time just on a different account. Funny how the ban happy ones all have account dates around when Dorkfail launched.

 darkfall is fun for some, and crap to others, just like any other MMORPG thats been released...

no reason to mock the game without reasoning as most darkfall players will probably find the game your playing totally crap also..

Think the trolls did spend years to try and make it a bad game. They failed big time. Its like watching creationist trying to use the same old crap time after time and everyone just keeps laughing at them.

And good for the OP to have found a fun MMO to play. That is not as siple as you would think. I wonder what the trolls play?

I don't know about DF being a great game but I do know it's fun.

The game is  a lot better than it was at launch.  If this next expansion update whatever ya wanna call it can breath new breath into melee and fix their endless skillcap crap it could be a great game.

DF is nothing like UO. UO was an amazing game in it's day. The only similar feature of UO and DF is full loot and having to drag items into your bag (which in the modern age is just plain annoying and stupid). If you actually played a lot of UO and really enjoyed it, DF will be an amazing disappointment if you ask me.

Fair enough and I agree.

Despite that, I think Darkfall is the best mmo I've played since UO. I just love the danger and freedom I have in this game,  I do wish it was more casual friendly like UO, and I hope they will fix some the grind.
