SO your free game time is up, after realizing how much garbage AION is after you snap out of the free month fanboy phase do you... A. Go on a major rant about how sucky this game is till your banned from most gaming forums. B. Save up your loses and never buy another korean mmo ever again. C. Take your PC and blow it up so no traces of AION can ever be found again. D. Go back to WoW and raid with either Jaina Proudmoore or Sylvanas Windrunner through bad ass Ice Crown Citidel! |

oh cmon... is it ever gonna end... tip for everyone : If you know you won't like an MMO even before trying it.... DONT BUY IT for everyone else : try Aion it's pretty fun...especially if you have friends to play with... well yea like in any other game |

Compare with AOC or Warhammer, both game released with huge starting zone and almost would take you days to just finish starting contents but with sad and lacking higher level contents. Aion did the exact the opposite, NCsot didn't spent too much time on starting zone, an average player would take about 2-3 hours level from 1 to 10. From 11 to 17 would take about 3-4 days if you play and understand your class and use all the tools in game.
When I played AOC, most of people were very impressed with starting zone, everyone was "This is the BEST game ever" or for War was "You can PVP from level 1, SUPER!" When you get to the end game, we were all like "Bah" that's it?? Bile, Blood, LV, and always same old same old flipping zone and did the broken city instance.
Aion, yes I admitted it's same old same old, "Been there, done that" kind of MMO, regular quests to kill X mob or collect Y items, but so do all other mmo. Anything wrong with that? I don't think so, it's just a quest, what do you want??? How about a quest like this:
NPC: Please go to buy a large Pizza and 6-pack of beer in 20 minutes then eat and drink in front of you computer while park your toon in the game for 60 minute, I will grant you a new skill. Accept? or "Decline?"
Is that a new enough quest for you? ( Oh, wait, That's EVE online :P J/K)
For PvE part of Aion, Aion offers standard in MMO, but most of content offered in later level, since most of people will level out of 20 in less then a week, why even wasting time to make starting zone so big and most of time will be empty.
PvP starts at level 20, most of people said it's 25, but that's for access to "PvP zone" not "PvP", PvP would happen pretty much everywhere randomly because of Rift. You don't just AFK on a spot unless you are 100% sure it's safe. I got killed a few times by Elyos while AFK.
For most of people who already think Aion is 1. it's a grinding game from Asia 2. Nothing new about it, when they start playing, their first reaction is "OMG, another WOW clone" or "Been there, done that" The game gets better at higher level, and you don't really have to wait to see it because leveling up is fast and easy, if a player can not reach 20 by playing 2-4 hours a day in a week, maybe there is something wrong with how this player play in the game.
Aion is not 100% bug free or the BEST & greatest game ever, but it's stable and learning curve is short since UI is standard like all MMO. People want something new but is NEW = good? Not all the time, I like some "New" feature in AOC and Warhammer but game itself is disappointing. WOW is a "GOOD" game and the new expansion looks great. SW: TOR, Global Agenda, STO, or FFXIV all look promising, but for NOW 10/02/2009, Aion has offered a stable client (some people have trouble but not me) and NCsoft has updating the game (Minor adjustment) every few days to meet customers demand which I was very surprised because I had very BAD BAD and Horrible time in Tabula Rasa, I pretty much just "Hate" NCsoft. I would say overall, Aion is enjoyable for me. (lvl 31 cleric) |

Most people on here don't seem to play games for fun. Instead being one of those game critics that are never satisfied. if you have ever been fully satisfied with a game (I doubt it), go back to that and leave the forums alone because all you are really doing is voicing the same biased opinion that has already been stated 1000 times before you. Wasting your own time and everyone else's. Playing an enjoyable game with 'flaws' 1 - Reading your boring broken record crap 0... |

lol WoW players are probly defensive becauses the Aion Fan boys cane on are forums and spew crap about how aion is great its good to get some spite back out (lol considering the Aion forums are always almost dead) if you dont like it dont look.
Also favorite thing anyone ever said on WoW forums about aion comes down to 2 things
"WoW is dead and you have to watch Aion sore the sky"
"Not even death wing can save World of warcraft now"
