abyss is where pvp  is going on but some place in abyss arte pvpve 

so in there while raiding another opposing faction goes for the same raid as your group

and that we havent seen yet

the cloest we saw is just one group level 35 go in raid 40 zone 

this week when their week raid is reset by aion we might see pvpve

To be honest, it goes both ways. You have as many people senselessly bashing the game as you do discussing what they like about it.

Regarding Pre CU, the grass is always greener on the other side, particularly when you're never allowed to go back to that side, and all you can do is remember fondly how green the grass really was.

A great PvP mmo needs a competitive environment, this is only ganking and zerging. There is no distinguishing of who is good or who is bad. We all run on the field like headless chickens trying to catch and kill anything we can find.

A great PvP mmo needs one ore more of the following elements:

- A few vs few instanced rated environment like WoW arena. Much can be said of WoW but arena is actually the first attempt to this kind of PvP. Since it is the first ofc its full of flawes. This concept needs polish and improvement which no other MMO try to bring.

- team vs team instanced rated environment. Havent seen any kind of this yet.

- open world objective based PvP. Some kind of "we got this place we pwn".

- ok, some ganking and zergins which AIOn brings.

Aion those unfortunately not bring anything refreshing except the great animations I must say.

The arena concept is absolute garbage and I could do without having to endure that in any mmo besides screwing around against others just for fun or testing out abilities.

Hmm actually you got it wrong.

Firstly, the PvP isn't mindless zerging. There are a lot of group vs group pvp, skill and coordination as a team are EXTREMELY important to the point where 5-6 players could easily take out 15 enemies.

Team vs team instances are present and are extremely fun, however they aren't rated.. Why would they be? You already got the ultimate ranking system which will satisfy your e-peen immensely, providing you're good enough, of course.

There ARE objectives in the open world, other than fortresses/castles called artifacts that can be controlled and grant your faction bonuses like buffs, or gives the ability to debuff enemy players or activate a great AoE magic attack.

Also as you said, ganking and zerging is also present in Aion , so, coupled with flying combat, I would think that by your standards (A great PvP mmo needs one ore more of the following elements) Aion is indeed a pretty good PvP game.

Regardless, Aion is not only a PvP game, It has a lot of PvE content as well and the Balaur (which you will be fighting A LOT) are an NPC faction.

aion as everything you post but one wich im not sure 

its arena ,but honestly in wow not a lot do arena so its not a big issue if aion doesnt have it

but for the rest it has it all,i just wish player would hurry up leveling to 40 so we can see the pvpve

maybe today who know,the french team that was first to take a keep gets 

their weekly raid restart today if i recall 

so if they go at it again today we might see some very wanted video of actual pvp raid fight

the other night in sulfer fortress. One of the asmo legions made a move to take it. The other asmos came in once the boss battle had started to try and poach the kill and reap the rewards for themselves. All the while the elys were camping outside trying to get in and we kept fighting them back to keep the boss room for ourselves. Then the boss launches 2 (nearly) consecutive aoe's that wiped out about 90% of us. Then the elys come pouring in and try to finish off the boss. In the end noone got the fortress. A lot of pvp both small scale and large, and a good time was had by all.

EvEry ship and module in the game is made for a specific reason and theres are many many factors involed,

dont get me wrong I like aion i have it  i have 2 chars around lvl 18  I miss L2 style pvp ofcourse  with alot less loss.

 I have not played in the abyss yet but looking at the upgrades and skills in aion it dosent seem like its a hardcore PvP game

but its fun.

The ONLY thing Eve is good for is my masturbation skills that I can tell you, I really don't need to practice.  Jumping through twelve gates usually gives me time to go grocery shopping and still have time to do some pron downloading.

Eve has some strong points, travel is just ..... sooo...... freakin..........slllloooowwwwww.  There is no other game with the kind of time-sink-while-doing-absolutely-nothing that Eve has.  Some people actually enjoy the game which just goes to show you, different strokes for different folks.  (no pun intended)

What PvP that is better than Darkfall? J/K  Yeah if its anything like WAR PvP but no musical keeps then Im down. I loved WARs open RVR its just everyone was either in senarios or playing musical keeps.  LOL you can't really call it PvP if your still playing against NPCs.

AIon RvR is how WAR should have been, seriously. Guilds take keeps and its not poorly done like in WAR. It feels breathing and alive and every day in the abyss is a thrill so far. As far from dead as it possible gets

 origine  took 3 keep today in the abyss they met asmo but i guess they were weak because 

that french guild took 3 lower level keep

hm. on my server RusCorp took all 3 keeps in lower region. Insane :) Pretty much just defending now untill the vulnerable timer goes down

 im surprised those guild dont have more competition ,i thot more would be ready for pvpve fight 

i guess it will take another month before we see some

Yes. So I've heard. And I bet it's true

Any game that has world pvp, skill, communication, teamwork can all beat bigger odds.  Acting like that plays a bigger roll in Aion than any other MMO is pretty silly.  You can do the same exact thing in WoW, War, AoC, etc.

I was under the impression Aion had an arena system also? Yet some of you hate the idea? Eh?

An arena system isn't bad really.  Except when, with so few people, and such huge glaring balance issues as wow had, certain combinations were unbeatable against others basically, or had a very large and distinct advantage.   

The PvP system in place is not new.  A zone where you can get killed...?  With some PvE objectives where you can also get killed by players.  The third npc faction is not new, but very unused.    

But as long as you enjoy it, it is what matters, not what others say.

So far it seems that way.  Time well tell if it stays this way but so far it seems to be the game PvP wise that Warhammer claimed it would be.

Actually, I think what has me the most psyched right now is seeing multiple players go at each other and not getting any lag or server crashes.  If this engine can actually withstand huge battles involving players attacking each other I'll be one happy son of a bitch because in every other game when this happens it turns to crap because the engine or server just cannot seem to hold it together least in the games I've played.

Gotta admit, when you are in abyss and you are being ganked but somehow barely manage to fight them off or something, the adrenalin rush is there. Which hasn't been there in PVP games since I first booted up CS1.6

DAOC has much better pvp than AION. I love these WoW & Counterstrike kiddies hyping AION too high up there. It's not what everyone says it is that's for SURE.

Doesn't take a fanboi to admit that this game gives a pretty good rush when in a pinch. Which is almost always when you are in the abyss haha. As for the people who need proof, they should just play it themselves or gtfo.

We aren't here to satasfy haters with proof, we are playing aion for own enjoyment. If people like drbaltazar can't believe honest opinions and thinks everyone is out to deceive him, then he shouldn't be on the forums because obviously anything positive is absolutely impossible, and everything negative is too obious.

mm dont know the game you mentiopn but since not one has seen full lvl 40 vs lvl 40 pvpve at lower keep yet

and most that tried pvpve were noob comto established guild

it will take a month to see how pvpve really but even if we forget that ,the regular pvp we get till we can reach

top level will probably be fun enough to sustain till the real pvpve insanity really start
