Honors Student Derrion Albert's murder, one of hundreds of killings in the city annually, should serve as the flagship video for Chicago's attempt at securing the Olympics. After all, decades of unbroken Democrat rule have successfully built a culture of urban dependency predicated upon easy access to welfare, food stamps and other "free" social programs. What pride? the only ones who really deserve to be proud are the athletes. Everybody else has a false sense of pride because one of the winners turned out to live in the same country. Big deal.

You guys will complain about anything and everything as long as it relates to something liberal. If this were Dallas no one here would be complaining about it. I live here. I have always lived here. I don't want to hear some small town rednecks telling me how dangerous my own city is when they live in a town 100 times smaller. I know no one who has ever been mugged, assaulted, murdered, etc. I feel completely safe walking around. The places where crime does happen often are far away from downtown and anywhere that anyone coming to the city to visit would actually be. You know nothing of my city. So shut the fuck up about it.

First, I have never supported building a 1.5billion football arena. So I am not sure why you are bringing up football arenas. Though I can see the use in building a football arena if it is going to be used continuously for years to come and it actually brings more than 1.5 billion in revenue. If it is a long term investment to a city, That is their perogative to use it to generate revenues.

Or you are in a crappy business and had a meeting on the lower south side. No one can walk down Michigan avenue and say Chicago is a filthy city unless they have a serious grudge against the city.
