Despite all the hate threads you see on these forums i enjoy it and so does every person ive played with. Most of the people that enjoy this game are too busy playing it so all you see here are troll hate threads. I havent been captivated by a game like this since the beggining of wow. If you were considering trying this id say try it. Its far better then playing wow imo (now that ive played it for so many freakin years). Also, there isnt anything else that has this fun factor out right now at least for me. Lvl 33 and counting so far. Peace |

If a game has all the features of WoW, its nothing but a WoW clone, but if it lacks any of them, its incomplete. |

I hate Aion.... Well I wouldn't say hate but it's definately at the bottom of the list of the MMO's I've played. Aion combat - Slow, boring, repetative. Champions Online combat - Fast, huge variety of stylish attacks, abilty to take on groups and not just one enemy at a time.

Aion's easy but not easier than WoW. Best gear is not handed to you on a silver platter. You got to search for some quests, God forbid! Some mob grinding is required at certain levels. Mobs are harder to kill. PvP-wise, well let's just say I would love to see you try getting Commander rank. Also I get the feeling you haven't played passed level20 as it's the only part of the game that is comparable to WoW... and the worst part in the entire game IMO.

Aion Easier than WoW,are you serious?! There's not a game out easier than WoW. They have dumbed down everything so bad that it would my brain to play it again. So you either A. Never played Aion before. B. Aion Troll.
And what do you expect it is an MMORPG!! For gods sake. Most companies will go with the norm and take more risks after they have subs. It's just the nature of the genre,to much money goes into these game. Why do people play the same Call Of Duty? Why do people play Resident Evil? People may *gasps* just like them! I disagree. The FPS genre has come such a long way since games like Doom, Quake and Half-life. Rts games don't even resemble old shool rts and Sports even being a bit handicapped by a RL ruleset have really improved leaps and bounds. Play Madden 10 and tell me Madden 93 is the same shit.

Really?? Tell me the huge difference between doom and current fps, besides graphics? real time cutscenes? vehicles? and huge jump in fps gaming can be equated to the huge jumps mmo's have made. But in the end, FPS are shoot em up games, with repetative play, and ironically the shotgun is usuallly still your best gun, lol...
My point is yes mmo are quest grinders, treadmills, bad stories, but people like them. MMO's like every other genre will have their "breakout" games and there will be different types however the basic concept, just like the basic conepts for RTS'es and FPS'es will always be the same. |
