Hello Gamers all i just needed to say That I think I am addicted to Aion.. Not since the days of EQ1 have I had this feeling about a game. I wake up wanting to log in and check my broker items for sell. I stop driving at lunch and post more items up or grind a little crafting. I have been gaming since the days of EQ1 beta. I have played countless games but for some reason Aion just takes me back to the days of Early EQ1 when I felt like I was addicted.. ITs just that good of a game. The classes seem fairly well balanced the game runs incredibly smooth. The character graphics and animations are simply the best (ohh all those all characters are EMO looking? Please people who post that havent seen some of the characters this game has in it playerwise.) Probably some of the most intimidating character models I have seen in any MMO. Some people say the game is grindy. I have posted countless times. It seems to have people come together to actually enjoy the game. I play a Spirit Master which is a great solo class and I always group.. Anyway if you havent tried this game. I highly recommend it. Its just a great game and it has me addicted, I just hope when I get home off the road. I can break the addiction for the weekend home. (usually not a problem at all for me) |

Its funny to see responses like these though... I think its kinda cool that I am getting that same addicted feeling that no other game other than EQ1 has really been able to bring about... OK I admit Vanguard was a pretty damn good game too. |

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. |
The word addiction doesn't quite roll with me for this game. I am enjoying it ALOT. Only thing so far, is that I personally don't have my own internet connection (the place I live won't get it for another 2 weeks or so), so I am forced to stop playing, even when I really want to continue. I've played for roughly 3-4 hours a day, and the only reason it's so little is because the place I go to for internet has retarded people who like to torrent on a public network... and it really fucks with your gameplay in Aion.
However, I am incredibly plased with this game. It's a game that I actually WANT to level up in.... and I WANT to experience the end-game.... and I don't mind the grind to get there. No other game has ever done this for me. I've leveled ONE character in WoW to max level... and it was painful to do... this game isn't painful. They've got it set, that every level is just as easy to gain as the last, as long as you quest it out. So, you are looking at roughly 1 1/2 hours per level. Although that seems relatively slow... it's not like old-school WoW, where it took longer every level. The quests they give you, are just enough to get you to the next level. Atleast, that's how it is for me as a SM. |

Hello, My name is Harvey Scorp. And I think I'm addicted to Aion... Finally someone has the same feeling as I do. Last time I felt like I needed (addicted) to play a game was the first Half Life, I know it is not an MMO, but I was seriously addicted to that game. Yes, I’ve played plenty of MMOs, old and new, all versions. With Aion I want to see what the next level brings, either new chained attacks, or new DP attacks. I felt a little grindy maybe 10-15 (Gladiator), but I think I was just grabbing too many quests at once at different ends of the map causing a lot of un-needed back and forth, and not focusing in one direction. I blame myself for that mostly. I found following the quest closer to the order in the log changed things. Now I'm starting to work on my crafting and I'm looking forward see what I can create and sell. Here comes the bashing I’m sure… I’m not saying this is greatest game, or a killer of (insert your beloved game here). I’m just saying that I really enjoy the game. There are many facets to the game that I’m looking forward exploring. The game has been extremely smooth. I continue to find myself reading up on the game at work. And thinking about what my strategy for the evening will be when I log in for a few hours to get to the next level or map. And one major thing is everyone has been great to play with so far, avoid the whiners in chat, everyone else helpful and friendly. I hope more people add how they enjoy the game to this (addicted or just having fun). This concludes the days AA (Aion Anonymous) meeting. Thanks for reading!!!

Well its 2.30 here in the U.K and another fun night crafting and grouping up with my friends in Aion. This game is seriously damaging my sleep or lack of, i cant stop playing the dam thing. Aion you have my thumbs up, and this thread is written by someone who is playing the game. |
Originally posted by jimmy123 Yup, finally a nice bit of positivity from someone who does in fact play the game. Positive threads FTW. Thank you OP. |

Well, i kinda like this game too, personally i would give it a 7.0 for now, and thats not a bad grade (in my opinion) although my only real gripe is with the que times. But as someone else has allready pointed, the OP did sound like a statement from an employee of publishing company/developers of the game, heheh.. errr,, if so, advising ''addiction'' doesnt sound so healthy.. :D where is your sense of corporate responsibility? |
