Seriously guys My wife has been buying me near every freaking MMO on release for the last 3+ years.

She knows I love MMOs and assumes I don't have the time to pick them up myself so she gets them for me.

She's so cute and thoughtful I could never bring myself to tell her to stop.

Until she bought Aion.

So I wanna thank all of you and the Aion devs.

My wife saw how disgusted I was with Aion and after she watched me virtually toss the game box across my living room to my brother she finally said it.

" Well! ...... That's the last MMO I buy you!" 

It finally happend, It took a super generic game but it finally did. I am free of Wife bought lame mmos.

I think this is a good thing, my better half has decided to only get me console games :)

That's a win win dude.

And to the other poster no it was the regular boxed version. MY brother is playing Aion now and is hoping the endgame is good.

I can see she loves you by buying them for you, but for you to throw Aion across the living room? I can see how much you love the things she does for you..If my girlfriend bought me Aion I'd love it even if it sucked because it came from someone I love. But anyway there's Direct2Drive and Steam if you can't find the time to go out and buy them yourself.

MY wife is a cool gal man. We were best friends before we hooked up I knew her when I was in pee wee Football at the age of 6.

She plays MMOs also so I think secretly she was getting me games so I would leave her alone and let her Raid LOL!

Help me out a sec here and explain to me why you call Aion a Asian Grinder... cause frankly, NCSoft makes games that are nothing like what you described it as. Sure, Lineage and Lineage 2 were considered Asian Grinder games, because they were. Aion however is not a grind game cause you can level just as quickly in it as you can in every other MMO that launches, if not quicker. As for the graphics, they do resemble Asian themes to some degree, but lets be honest, these types of MMOs are fantasy based so graphics shouldn't even be an issue in terms of style.

I guess coming from MuD based text games where graphics came from your imagination and playing pen and paper D&D, I've learned that graphical MMO's are nothing more than a bonus. People who complain about graphics are obviously to young to understand just how nice 3D games really are.

Hope you find something more to your liking though... and next time, don't throw the game across the room, atleast not if your wife is around.

I bet the guy ant even played the game let alone have a misses.Save your pocket money up for abit and you'll be able to join the fight on the Abyss/Rift front.

I try to make these boards as bad as possible with my presence here, but...It's hard to keep up.

Just like Aion, the stories are lame, with a little twist, just to get your interest.

 You must be really new in this whole gaming thing, I have loads of games, that ppl have given me and I have bought that I have played them maybe once or twice, in the shelves why would I ever throw a game accross the room, I have a sealed LOTRO Volumes I and II Box I have yet to open, I played the 10 day trial code that came with it and decided it wasnt worth it me playing so the package is untouched.

But I know why you made this thread it wasnt because of your wife giving you game, you just thought you could  try and be funny with a bit of sarcasm in the middle it ended proper freaky because frankly no one really cares about your personal life or if you like your wife and how you actually "hooked" up with her lol.
