They have no incentive to produce another MMO right now, even though I personally think WOW is crap, it still turns over a massive profit for them. WOW2 or whatever would cost them development money that they dont need to spend. |

The questions is; Is it possible to make a game more casual than WOW? If so, how? Auto-play button? |

With Vivendi now owning the company there are a lot of approvals that have to go into place before a new IP gets done. My guess is some kind of Sci-Fi game. Did you ever seen the stills and artwork for Blizzard's scrapped "Nomad" project. It was Sci-Fi.

They've already announced it won't be one of their older IPs, so unless they go back on the statement there won't be any Starcraft or Diablo MMO. The reason SC Ghost was scrapped was because it just wasn't building to being a good game, and I've seen the videos of gameplay. It looked like a weak Mass Effect with a bit of Metal Gear thrown in, I guess Blizz still isn't very good at making shooters....=/
As far as i know SC: Ghost wasnt officially scrapped, it's just on indefinite hold ;) |

I am personally hoping for an MMOFPS version based off the Starcraft Universe.
As in Terran vs Zerg vs Protoss in a 3 faction war with 1st and 3rd person perspectives based on player pref.
Could you imagine running around as a ghost fraggin the hell out of a Zealot.
Vehicles, multiple planets to explore. Zerg could fly around in alien type spores, terrans in spaceships, protoss in spaceships. Could have space battle in vehicles, or land it on a nearby planet and take the fight to the ground, fighting over zone control and end result planetary control.
It would be awesome. |

Originally posted by Securion WoW has only recently become casual with the expansion Wrath of the Lich King, and they only brought casual-options, the core of the content, the really good stuff so to speak, is hardly casual. If you look at the history of WoW raiding, which is really where the game shines, in classic and BC it was an extremely hardcore and time-consuming game. WotLK brought a new dimension in that easy modes could be done by casual 10 and 25-man guilds, and even pugged a few months after they were released.
To call the game "casual" makes the assumption that the entire game is casual. That is hardly the case, defeating Yogg +1 or +0 pre-3.2 was hardly a casual feat, and defeating Algalon on 25-man was hardly casual, either. ToC is obviously on scale easier than Ulduar, but that was intended. They are busy creating Icecrown which will most likely be as difficult (on hard-modes) as was Ulduar. I don't care much for World of Warcraft, anymore, but to say it is casual.. is wrong, it is casual-friendly now, but it is far from a casual video game.
