OH WOW! i made this post thinking that nobody would even read it.......

BUT LOOK! its already on its 2nd page, you boys make me proud.

 I bought this game which quite possibly helped cure my aids. I am not saying this as a definite statement, but the probability is high.

PPl like me who started when beta was open would had left DF, but if you was a sandbox fan at the same time like me, you would always think about getting it back, but never comeback if the grind didnt get a fix. Today, i heard that the grind got reduced by an high amount so im coming back for sure. Today i wil get my credit card and buy it.

After the 9 october, there wil be a new expansion where they will give more love for melee players so at this stage, it will be a must for all the sandbox pvp fans out there. If they dont make a skill cap before Mortal online come out, i will quit DF and play MO instead i promess.

No way will I buy it.

When everyone seems to be running out of the stadium screaming in terror, I will be damned if I will fight my way through to see if the damn monster will eat me too.

I will wait till the monster has a free trial.....

It's rather competitive actually. When playing with multiple people and trying to see who can sweep the fastest.

Of course, some people cheat. But I guess that happens in every game, just adding to the competition on a different level to see who can cheat the best.

Not always.  I met a true crafter today and see others all the time.  No combat skills at all but 100 in most gathering and crafting skills.  This game has freedom to do whatever the hell you want to do in it.

Whatever it is the point of the thread I assume it merits one page more, and ladies and gents, I'm going to explain the main reason that drives me to this position, as it is widely known that this one is not the common market stream kept opinion and we, sirs, are not in the target of the big companies. So that:

Linear, levels, level x gear, instancing, zoning, channeling ~it has got many names ultimately~, prefabricated classes, seamful blocked land's world and roads with lamps, no housing, no creativity at all, plumbering crafting with no impact on the world and looking like an anime or a Disney toon is what people love. The BIG ONES in the market are into these rules. The secret of success, in two words: BOREDOM & MEDIOCRITY. Give them to the people and they will adore your game. But... Give them the challenge of freedom and they will insult and prosecute you and go repeat the word FAIL until the end of times.

I play EVE but need to help my fellow sandbox gamers here, though they don't need to be defended as they won't play the mediocre boring mmo's that appeal to the masses. As it is, they don't need pinky wings to play a game.
