i have started to play at the official russian server (l2.ru)

1) do other western europeans play in those servers, if yes say the server to me to start there ><

2) i have heard that there is an anglish patch to translate the client can some help me in this?

And whit translating the client, cant you just take the english client and change the host file to connect to the russian sever`?

What's the benefit for playing on the russian servers?

No monthly fee?  They're official (supported by the latest NC patches)?  Is there a drop/xp rate increase?

What kind of Ping are you seeing?  Are the servers new?  As in everyone is starting over and the newbie towns aren't vacant?

Not only L2.RU - Korea, EU, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, North America, Taiwan, China, The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia - all they official Lineage 2 servers.

Lineage2 is present in many countries and regions and there is NOT ONLY EU Official server. Players can play where they want, but in idea you can play on Japanese server if you know Japanese language and if you can set up your computer to support it :). Rus servers are interesting cuz they "free".

The russian server is Free to Play with micropay shop l2.ru/bonus/gameshop.html  - it's sell shots, bufs, scrolls, CP and EXP "boosters", enchants,  teleports, groceries, BUT NO weapons, armors - like most micropay games. Base exp, drop, spoil rates are 100% official like all official servers.

Servers official start was end of 2008 y.  Server 10 was started 1-2 months before. There is a rumors that first S80 was cerated 2-3 months before. I tested ping with 4 ISPs it's 10-100 ms ( < 40-50 is normal to play). All castles taken - on servers with 3-5 k online users the sieges starts very soon after official start.

I like russian servers but some ISPs have problem with connection and "users-overloaded" servers, if you have good ping with their servers and game(computer) works normal with 3000-5000 users loaded server all ok, it's normal to play for free. {mod edit} So will be super if one day we can find way to "back-patch" game to english :) - cuz russians very long time works to translate aboslutely all game to rus language :)

if you think about Russia like private place in world yes it's private. If you talk about hardware that Inova buy and support yes they private. If talk about L2.ru buy all rights - yes. If you ask about NCSoft allow legal L2.ru  project - yes. 

I decided to return to L2 and after making a trial account  and seeing how dead L2 is in NA I am going to play russian servers. Does anyone know any english speaking guilds out there? 

why would anyone play with russians by choice?

all i see is aimbots and hacks when i see russians.

Lineage 2 NA/EU is not dead.... try playing further then first few levels.

You can always tell when a person has no idea what he is talking about. L2 NA is far from dead.

I am not here to argue but to me when there is only 1 server and it cant even break medium load is dead to me. I didnt even level just ported around to high lvl areas to check and I was right. I am fluent in Russian but I would prefer English speaking guild let me know if anyone know one.

Only an idiot would listen to somebody like you. Ask any Lineage 2 player that plays this game everyday like  if the game is dead. Why would anybody listen to somebody who says they joined the game, did not even level but just ported around to high level places. That does not even sound right. You cant even travel through high level places as a low level to even see where people are. LOL

I didn't just join the game, trial was free and accomplished what i had to see,  stop trying to derail the thread.
