Is Marchutan a North American East Server?  I cannot find any info on where the servers are located, other than East and West (it doesn't specify country)

im 27 and the only pvp i been seeing is basically ganking ... this aint really pvp.. and after 25, in the abyss, ganking becomes an even more common word.

All the game is about ganking.. dont make up :) You either gank or get ganked.. theres seldom the in bewtween.

I think he meant that ganking is most of the time one-sided, even in 1v1 encounters you won't be able to recover especially with a mob on you. And then, there's group-ganking random people.

Jeez u people just assume so much bs on these forums.....I have been ganked a few times....outnumbered,outlvled,outequiped....and still able to kill off the gank squad, it all comes down to skill, if it's there then you can prevail!

Plus, on a side note......keep a group going and just split up in the abyss. When u c a gank squad tell group and u can easily avoid getting ganked, but then again that is too much intelligence for some.

This remind me World of Warcraft 5 years ago when the game was new, horde was raiding alliance town every now and then. Was so cool, everyone was saying the same thing as the OP is saying now.

Nothing new, just an old concept with a new game, that will get old pretty fast....

This has been my concern from day one hearing about Aion and seeing that video pretty much reinforces where I figured Aion PvP would go.  Perhaps it shapes up differently but gank or be ganked seems about the only logical outcome given the setup and it, obviously, is unsustainable over time as most people have little interest in that.

Jeez lol u should read the posts i put...ur listening to a moron.....there are pve zones with no rifts so the average carebear will be fine.

I am not talking about wanting all PvE all the time, PvP is fun and great when it is not gnak or be ganked.  Unfortunately, in MMOs level and gear matter far more than anything else so finding PvP that is actually viable is hard to do, especially when it is possible to simply gather a bigger or better (level/gear) group and go gank folks.  It is the lowest common denominator thing, and Aion will not be exempt form it and it will, as it has in about every other MMO that is full of gank PvP, drive the broader player base out leaving the gankers bored without people to gank.  That being said, I am giving it a chance, even if I think I know where it is going in a month or two.

What do you expect? They had to warn them they were coming?

lol seriously there are few people on 25+ give it time I don't they they know everything about the game yet, they just wanted to try pvp and what's better then going in enemy maps?

Glad you had fun, but I find that to be extremely boring looking. I agree with someone in another thread, Aion is basically a korean themepark grindfest.

Damn, it's amazing how much Darkfall's combat, even in the game's infant stage, has spoiled me so much.

Now that was somewhat tedious. I can understand the thrill it provides to the players involved, but to watch that, well, was roughly as boring as an eating festival. No doubt both take skill, just not necessarily such skill that I would highly value. 50vs100 open field confrontation on an MMO will in all likelihood end to the victory of the bigger squad. I guess it is skill to some to gather bigger goon squad but gank is a gank no matter how you twist and turn it.

The majority of youtube comments are ridiculous!  Can someone tell me why darkfall players feel so entitled to be the most elite group of pvpers?  The remind me of the rich kids back in high school who thought they were the shit because they could do whatever they wanted.

I don't doubt darkfall is a good game, and it certainly is different from Aion, "more hardcore" as some would say.  But since when does that make you more respectable because you play a different game?  Gamers these days are terrible people.
