And that's the reason you can't talk cross-faction. If you could, some tool on the opposing side could tell you where his faction-mates are going just to grief them, and they'd have no recourse.

No godless person can comprehend those minute distinctions
in doctrine that provide true believers excuse for mayhem.

But I think they've allowed for language learning, unlike Blizzard. You learn Mau in one of your earlier quests.
