We both like mmo's but are struggling to find a game perfect for both of us to play together.

We want a game to stick to for a few months untill the next round of mmo's come out.

We want to be able to log in for a few minutes on busy days and acomplish a few quests and feel like it was worth logging in, but also log in for a long while on other days to do deep stuff when life is not as busy.

P2P is very much preferred, we both really do not like item shops.

PVE is the preferred choice of both us but pvp is good too, and we like a big community.

Any ideas?

I know you say P2P is preferred, but I'd recommend DDO based on every other requirement you listed.

It's the perfect game for a duo to jump in and complete a couple of adventures. Definitely PVE oriented and definitely fun!

I'll second that. DDO is a fun MMO for a couple of friends to stomp around in.

 DDO is a good choice, WOW is a decent one to,

Lineage 2, World of Warcraft, Everquest 1, and 2 , Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo 2, Saga of Ryzom, Warhammer Online, Dark Ages of Camelot...etc
