How can you read a book and play? Were you using a macro or keyboard macro?

 

I had a test tommorow but also excited to play the game.

So I click another monster and press button 1, attack button. (meaning that no extra skills are used, just normal attack)

And I read the book while my char is attacking. When I finished reading 2~3 sentences or something important phrases in the book. I  clicked the mouse to pick the item droped.

 no macro stuffs.

repeatly did it.

 

I'm still missing something. Oh, and kudos that you take your studies somewhat seriously as that is a good thing.

However, in my experience just clicking on a mob without any skills will get you killed in no time. they just take a bit too much out of your character. Unless they were many levels below you. I'm pretty sure this is correct. and will test it out now just so I can be certain that it is indeed true.

Yeah, just got into the game (no lines imagine that) and tested it out. You pretty much would have to die a bit. My thought is that A, you are legit and went around just hitting mobs with no skills, died and it looked like a bot so someone reported you. Or, you did use a g 15 keyboard or something and that looked like a bot and someone reported you.

Not going to call you a liar but at the same time it does look suspicious that would single out a player for "just playing the game".

Also, NC was never one to explain to their customers why they banned them. They didn't do it in L2 and I gather that they won't do it here either.

So not sure where that leaves you.

If you really want to do something about it, try CALLING them. Emails rarely help at all. Very easy to get lost in the shuffle. While most people are banned for legitimate reasons, sometimes there are wrongful bans.  I have no idea which category you fall in, but I suggest calling them.

I had a friend who got banned from eq2 years back, emailed to no avail, then called, and they realized it was a big mistake. He was back in the game soon after he called.

You gotta be full of crap, NCSoft does not ban master accounts for botting so you were doing something a lot worse.  How do I know???  I botted like everyone else playing Lineage 2 and had several buffer accounts banned never once was my master account banned or closed.  You did something tarded and got yourself banned...on the off chance that you are telling the truth and i doubt you are, keep emailing them it takes NCSoft support a while to get back to you on issues.

The fact that you are posting this here.....makes me KNOW you aren't telling US something.

Most intelligent people just take it up with the company and not whine on a totally different site....

Well, firstly, it's their game, they can run it however they want. If you break the rules, then you get punished. Throwing down money shouldn't EVER be any kind of safety-net, otherwise what is to the stop the gold-sellers from doing the same?

 

Secondly, do you mean to say that you were killing mobs a lot lower than you, purely using auto-attack? Because if I came across someone doing that, my first reaction would be 'yep, gold farmer', and I would report you. Then NCSoft would check the combat logs, see that you were indeed farming, and ban you. Not that you were, but then it's your word against theirs, and they have the power.

 

the mobs I was killing is lv 1~8 mobs in poeta.

anyway, it is still stupid that they did not even warn me but bans me. If they asked me, I would immediately reponse back in the game.

When I was in Korean server, GMs usually try to talk to me to figure out I am abusing or not. But NA GMs are just banning the user as they receive reports, without specific checking. And try to ignore the banned user after. that's what I am saying it sucks.

They should even warn the person before permanent ban, I think, it is more rational.

You obviously have experience abusing the game if Korean GMs talk to you about it.

This should answer your question right here.  You say the GMs usually try to talk to you.  That sounds like you've been confronted more than once about suspicious behavoir while playing the game.  If what you are saying is true, then it sounds to me like you deserved to be banned.  Again, if all you say is true (which i doubt), and your intentions truly were innocent then a sensible person would have thought "hey what I'm doing doesn't look good I should probably stop."  You said you were reading a book while playing the game.  My question is "Why play the game if your not going to pay attention to it and enjoy it?"  To me it sounds like you were doing something you shouldn't have been doing (if any of this is even true).

I think that you made up everything you said in this post because I do not believe anyone's account would be banned without any notification.  If this is true and your account really was banned than I'm glad NCsoft banned it because it sounds like you  deserved it.

WHAT? I played this game only for 3 days and purely logged in to lvl up for an hour something per day and logged out when I feel enough for a day. I played 3 monthes in Aion Korean server and they had very good GMs and qualified customer services, OPPOSITELY, AION NA GMs are SERIOUSLY suck. Maybe Asian GMs are much more acceptable and kinder? I WILL GET BACK TO ASIAN AION, I DECIDED IT.

(FOR EXAMPLE, if the user seems to do something strange or abusing, GM in KOREAN Server always get closer to the character who is reported to check if the user is really abusing the game, sometimes GM try to talk with reported user to check he uses Auto-mouse, macroing something.  However, NA NCSOFT GMs just ban the user as reported, do not even carefully check in game and warn.)

 They are ripping off their player base on launch. They don't have faith in the game long term to risk a large number of servers on launch. They are expecting it to be a smallish mmorpg in the tradition of the other Korean translations that hit euro and NA, hence they don't want many servers. That may disappoint the players looking for the next EQ/WoW, but there you go... this was never the one, not anything new at all.

Wait, what? Haha, this has nothing to do with this thread (customer service sucking... since customer service can't automagically create servers without the rest of the team) or with the OP's complaint.

As for the ban, I'd say that if you have to justify how erratically you played the game that makes you think you were banned... that already have some suspicious vibes.

Also, bots can send out tells automatically. Hence why every person gets those in-game gold-spamming whispers whenever you a) walk near one or b) show up online.

And yes, I've never seen an account-wide ban before... so if you really feel as if an account-wide ban was more severe than what you actually deserved, you should call in.  Most botters/gold spammers would just send an e-mail proclaiming innocence, but not all of them will try to call customer service themselves (since not all of them will be from the U.S.).

He's not the only one. I got one character to level 7 and I'm banned for no reason whatsoever.  No emails, warnings, nothing.  Customer support is closed on the weekend, they aren't replying to emails.  Game login says it's a temporary suspension, but it won't let us log into the ncsoft website because we've been "permanently blocked".

Well seing as this account was playing in korean servers then moving to NA servers it will be scrutinezed. That is supicious enough because they did block this for aion release. I have seen toons of bots from 1-40 and they never left the game so far so something is not right here in this complaint.
