This is one of the reasons why I don't play popular games.  Like FE for instance its niche 4sho and it only has 1 server granted a ton of people can be logged in at once which is nice.  I think all MMO's should go with the 1 server Idea. Like EVE and FE but I guess Darkfall just added another server I thought they said they could hold like a massive amount of players on their server. Either they can't and lied about something else or there is a shit ton of people playing.

This is just grinding game with good music and graphic. If u dont like grinding game, dont buy it. it is highly recommanded.

Well, Guildwars have extremly little. Other than that they are more or less grindy.

Say that you make a curve where guildwars have grindfactor one and Lineage 2 have 10, then it is easier to compare the games.

But yes, Aion is grindy but so is Wow too.

And many games are making more and more grind with stuff like daily quests.

But fear not, both TOR and Guildwars 2 are focusing on the gameplay instead of the grind.

So, if you can't take grinding right now you should play GW instead of Aion or Wow and then change to TOR or GW2 when they come out.

But many players like some kind of grind and there are many worse games out there than Aion, if you don't think Wow is a grind then Aion should work fine too.

Good thing the queues on most server even eastcoastserver are <10 Minutes on primetime and on several there are no queues at all anymore, after the patched the afk shops. (Hopefully not enough retards will start to bypass disconnects again with other exploits causing queues again)

Good thing they arent currently adding new server for the new incomming customer.

Actually, i disagree with you OP, this game is actually very fun, and the population is BOOMING, this game is actually the most popular game in awhile, and the que is just a straight fact about that, and actually, since the nerfing of private stores, my que was around 2hours, tonight after the patch, its 11min.......If you interested in a fun, and exciting game, with loads of people, ( and i mean loads, the captial city is booming), then try it out, you wont be disappiointed.

Well I got it because friends of mine were going to play, but I cant get the NC patcher to patch past 97% percent. I've jumped through all the hoops on the Aion tech forums ie uninstalling virus scanner, reinstalling the game making sure 15 gigs of free space were available. Nothings worked. So Aion now serves as a fancy little beer coaster while I play FE.

I expect problems with a launch, hell been through so many its par for the course but this crap I haven't seen since 2004. It may be NCsofts screw up up its Aions for not going with a better company. Sheesh even Sony's games at least PLAY!

alternatively you can wait a month or 2 before playing the game.

 I'm debating getting this game but it is hard to find some honest reporting on this game. Either it's the greatest...well, just because it is. Or it sux...just because it does.

 I have played many games and I know they all have some grind in 'em. That don't bother me.

 What I want to know is this: Is PvP pointless? Are guilds substitive? End game a wait for more levels and more quests? I'm not that interested in graphics (to a point)...music, eh, whatever. I can play my own music. Everyone look the same? I won't ask if idjits are playing because they are in every game and they can be ignored.

let me make this easy on all the clowns out there who keep saying AION has a grind...

try asking yourself this question before you post -- Does *INSERT RANDOM MMO NAME HERE* have a grind ? 

After you ask this and then answer it, you may not be so inclined to come here and thump your chest proclaiming AION has a grind, when guess what ?  we know it does -- just like EQ has a grind and wow and L2 and LOTRO and SWG and every other MMO you can think of.  So maybe consider against making yourselves look like brainless little puppies for a few seconds of your meaningless, worthless lives and not post, k ?

i will answer two questions for you -- pvp is not pointless -- and NO ONE looks the same.  this game has the most in depth character creation of any mmo.  that isnt even debatable IMO.
