I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast for I intend to go in harm's way. |
Seriously, what are the people thinking when they post a puke-on little green item for that much. Things like that tell me three things: A) Gold farmer. B) Greedy player too lazy to actually go work for the cash (who has that much on them at this point anyway). C) Just plain dumb for not knowing anything about economics and inflation. But then you have to think about it...people probably paid that much for something in the Beta (again, really dumb since it's Beta) and those people deserved to get laughed at. I have yet to find a single item in-game that I couldn't earn myself for whatever reason that I would willingly pay that much for. |

D) Player shop created to keep a player online indefinitely. After latest update though, they'll stay online for only 30mins. |

Help someone who can not return the favor. |
... or they did it as a joke because they enjoy seeing people with no sense of humor getting worked up about it? Edit Add: There's also an article out about it by the way - Aion: NCsoft Responds to Private Shop AFKers ------ |

Or there's always the obvious answer that actually makes sense instead of three other senseless hypotheses ...
D. He doesn't really want to sell it and is just AFK, using the in game store so he doesn't idle out and get disconnected. You have to have something in your store, though, so he puts something random in there and charges the max amount you can for it to be sure it doesn't sell.
Think a little ... |

Ok, fair enough. Thank you NCSoft for listening to the cries of the players and doing something about the douche bags who afk shop. |

That only works on the Private shop, but ive seen crazy prices on the Action House as well. I understand ppl tried to do that in Beta, Heck it was Beta so no one really cared if it was overpriced or not. Now, however, ppl are still trying to charge you 120,000 for a freaking lv 20 stigma SERIOUSLY??!!!!. That once again brings up the Farmer issue.

I personally don't agree with the 30 minute timer exactly. I mean I think it's great that they're trying to do something about AFK shops, but from the sounds of it even legit shops will get booted after 30 mins so that pretty much means you have 30 minutes to sell everything in your shop before you get booted. That also hurts other players because what if Player A sets up shop and has this nice item Player B is hunting for at the price Player B wants to pay while other shops are around selling it for way more then Player B can afford but Player B never finds Player A's shop because Player B didn't start looking until 35 mins after Player A setup shop which means Player A has already been booted keeping Player B from getting that item. Just my opinions on said matter.
Now if they could maybe compare the price of the item in the Player Shop with the average price of the same item in the AH or even other Player Shops or go as far as to compare it to the average price people are buying it from other player shops or the AH and make an educated guess on who's trying to AFK and boot them after 30 minutes, that I think would be better. Also boot any empty shops after 10 minutes of becoming empty would be good too. Again just my opinion. |

It is also one method virtual gold sellers use to move the virtual money to their buyers. |

Farmer does not have enough kinah to sell them as now. I receive PM's from different sites but only for powerlevel and cd keys. They didn't specify any kinah :) They are poor like us ! |

I've seen this in all MMOs I've played (well, all the ones that had an AH/Broker) I assumed that they did it because they had run out of space in their bank/vault/warehouse, so put it up for a ludicrous price so nobody buys it. But in this game, with it's scaling cost based on the sale price, it would have to be REALLY worth it. Other that that, I can only surmize that it's just another dimwit thinking someone will pay out that kind of money for something clearly not worth it. Current MMO: Aion |

whatever the reason ,one thing is sure it will make room for other player while you go afk wich is a good thing ,no mather what you guys will try to say to justify trying to keep a spot you dont use just because you dont want to go on another server |

i normaly dont answer to troll post, but im in queue, so im bored :/ Hes doing this, just like other say it above, to be afk. But imagine that wasnt the real explication:
Its a free market, if someone want to try selling something for 9.999.999.999 and only worht 10.000, so what? its his item, and he can try selling for the price he want.
But serious, making a treath about this? geez....
Ho wait, 2min to enter, cya :)) |

WAIT, so that wasn't a good deal?
Crap.
