Enough is enough...they want my money I want to play when and where I like. Big FU to ncsoft by the way never ever will deal with them mofos again, on the other side you aion fanbois will be happy to get 3999 waiting line instead of 4000 lol.

 You are about to get tons of the traditional 'qq' replies but I for one cant blame you. Think about a typical player, they get home from school/work, log in, see 3-4 hour (or longer) queue so waiting is not even an option. I decided to give them about a week so if say, middle of next week they still have the 3-4 hour wait and tons of afk private stores, I may just stick to another MMO. Aion is good, but there is hardly a shortage of good games out there.

I think they're doing it on purpose. Part of the hype machine trying to make it sound WoW-like at launch. it worked for me with WoW. I had no intentions of playing it ever. But I saw the people lined up for hours just to play. I thought I must be missing something good.

 did you bother rolling on a lower pop server with shorter que?  did you bother to see if the new servers theyre adding this weekend have a lower pop and less que?  no you didnt, goodbye and good riddence we dont need whiney wow kiddies in aion.

Don't like to wait to log into the server? Stop trying to log in and let the masses feel the game out for you :)

Not something unique to Aion. Wow and WAR both had a long line before you could start to play in the start.

Of course NC soft should have thought about this, the game have been out a long time in Korea but it is best to stay clear of any new game for the first month or so.

And no, I wont stand in line to play, I don't have that amount of spare time.

 I haven't had any wait time on Aion for the last two days.  I play on two different servers and I'm getting right in on both.

You'd rather NCSoft open 55 servers and watch as they have to cut back to 26 servers in 3 months time? Think about your answer before you speak. I'm impressed with this launch because I'll get a healthy server. Besides that I haven't had problems with queue's.

Also they are removing the "stay logged in forever function" of the AFK shops tomorrow morning. So they are dealing with that legitimate issue.

You must be new to MMO's; if not, new to MMO launches.

Robbing you? Aion has had one of the most stable launches for an MMO I've sever seen. Most other MMOs suffer from lag and queues when they launch, basically making it unplayable. Aion at least only suffers from queues, which shows people are playing. NCsoft has also openly acknowledged the issues and are supposedly working on fixing the issues by raising the server capacities and even adding a new server this weekend.

Also, have you ever thought about choosing another server? Last time I checked, there's always at least one server with no queue at all.

Go back to playing your rehashed $60 console ports with mediocre player-ran servers, only to buy the same $60 rehashed console port with prettier graphics next month.

 im sitting in a 500 man que right now, 15 mins wait expected, i need my fix (woulda put up a private store to not have to log in but i had to go to work and logging in at work gets me in the que anyway due to different ip address)

Your results will vary. My son and I've been trying to get in on the Asmo side on the US Eastern servers (any of them)  during prime time and we've never run into anything smaller than 1600 person queues since prelaunch.

This evening was no better and I've yet to play this game.  (even though I now have started the official game time clock.)

Its funny. I'm on Siel, which is a pretty heavily populated server. I have not queued since day two for more than 15 minutes. My alt server, Yustiel, has never queued at all since the head start. It is one of the lower population servers.

I don't know which server you guys who are complaining so much are on. You must have signed up with one of the pre-launch mega Legions(?) Why are people so worried about east coast / west coast servers? In-game time is set to your system clock, and as far as I've seen published on the official forums, the NA servers are all in the same data center. The only change I can forsee is in-game events being a few hours off.

I mean, I'd prefer not to wait in a 15 minute queue, but its not a big deal (I just start the process and alt tab to do something else), and I'm sure it will calm down after the initial rush subsides and the new servers get added this weekend. I log in after work, which is later than kids are getting off of school. Maybe there's a mad 3PM rush in some time zone - however, I have not seen it on the weekend.

So here's an idea...

Log in, get in line for the queue, got do something else with your life while you wait?

Eat dinner with your family, do something around the house, go get a little bit of exercise, bang your wife/girlfriend/whatever. If they can do it in 30 minutes in the domino's commercials, you can definitely do it while waiting in line for a 30 minute queue time (which really isn't that bad)

Have to agree with others. That was a bit much. Quitting and such *shrugs* But whatever floats your boat. I don't blame the company. You as a consumer should know what you are investing as well so some responsibility lies upon your shoulders as well. I got in pre-launch and discovered the ques. I researched what others are going through and I simply decided I will wait once prelaunch has ended. So now I just have to wait a couple of days for them to open the two new servers and raise the caps on the existing servers and see how it goes from there. Really rather simple.

But for some raging is better I guess. I'm in no rush. The game will be there tomorrow, the next day and so forth. I understand their point of not wanting to open too many servers just to end up shutting them down. Makes financial and simple common sense. So here's to everything working out smoothly this weekend.

Solution = Make AFK Stores Auto DC or disable AFK Stores for this "Launch Period"  

Imagine, every issue (with logging in at least)  resolved.  Less Forum QQ and more in game QQ.

FYI:  I didn't even make it out of the 2 day head start before I gave up on Aion.. :(  Not for queue reasons, just because, meh.

im not aion player and i will never be a aion player, im not here to troll either but 3 to 4 hours waits thats lames. i under maybe a 30 min wait or maybe an hour or half im ok with. 3 to 4 hour waits thats just messed up i mean u can also clean or do stuff u need to get done while u wait but still u might as well call home around noon or one and have someone put u in the Q so when u get home u can play, but thats also sort of insane thinking. i wish u aion peeps the best of luck with the sever Q's and NCsoft.

I thought I'd post something for the QueueQueuer's:

"We are bringing the servers down at 6:00AM PST (more), September 25th, for maintenance. The purpose of this downtime is to tweak the way Private Stores work. A timer of 30 minutes will be implemented to prevent these shops from being abused as a means to prevent disconnection and alleviate queues.

The maintenance is expected to run no longer than 1 hour.

Thank you for your patience!"

Obviously this won't reduce queues completely, but it will help A LOT.

I am on Telemachus and was only in que once for 15 minutes, most of my guild has been able to get on ok (56 members) a couple have had to wait in que once or twice.

Not sure what your point is.  My experience has been complete opposite and have never seen less than a 2.5 hr queue between 5 pm - 10 pm US EDT.

Glad to see they are knocking down the private stores, that should alleviate the issues quite a bit.

I think it’s weird, some people are logging in fine with no problems and some people are just having the worst of luck

The game fails more and more quit everyday, no reason to have that long of a queue ever!!

Only been in queue twice and the longest i have waited is 45 minutes.

Azphel has the craziest queues cause all the guys/gals who read the Arenajunkies forums agree'd to roll there.  Its down to an hour wait now during prime time....seems like somethings changing for the better :)   Thank god for minimizing and doing something else.
