Because Warcraft lore is now a JOKE!!! Gnome Priest ??? WTF

All movies based on a video game are comedies, intentional or not. |

If the movies sux blizzard will simply pull it, they do it all the time with their games, a bad movie will hurt Warcraft so I realy dont see them making a bad movie. Plus the Warcraft movie is just that a warcraft movie not WoW movie.

Out of the possible types of stories, WoW the movie will most likely be categorized as either a Low Comedy, a Farce or an Epic, depending on your level of Fanboyism.

It will depend, World of Warcraft has some pretty good lore to build a movie. If they use it in the right way is the question. |

All I know is that I'm extremely disappointed in Sam Raimi for taking this gig. He's better than WoW: The Movie. Sam, bring on Evil Dead 4, FFS. You got all warmed up with Drag Me To Hell... the time is now. |

Just to let you know, this movie is going to be based on WARCRAFT not WORLD OF WARCRAFT. So it'll probably be the story of Warcraft 1. So I doubt it'll be some WoW comedy all you kids are looking forward to! |

To me comedy would be the best way to go. Trying to be serious as an adventure story would be too much of a self-parody no matter how well it was produced. WOW: THE SAGA OF KARAZHAN Episode 1 (of 3). The first 3 hours of a three film, 9 hour, live-action version of a full kara raid with mediocre players - wipes included.
Would (could, I am not counting on it) only be tolerable at all as a b grade comedy. Trying to take any action in the WoW universe serious on that scale is just too much. Books, fine for lore. Major motion picture, no. How dare you present him with logic! Don't you understand? He fights epic fights, in epic games, with epic toons....eats epic food and takes epic dumps!
