I personally think that this is a great game and should be given another chance. I have played since beta, i played pre NGE, and now I play NGE. And I have to say that the game should have been released as it is now. Anyways heres my goods/bads and explanations as to why I believe so Goods: Space combat is epic, POB ships are great and its really fun to RP in space and get a PVP squadron going. Space is flawless in my opinion. Combat is fast paced and fun when in a group Housing is wonderful and there are thousands of different rare items to collect Vehicles and mounts are really fun The creature system is really fun to play around with and it's super fun(but frustrating) trying to get mutations The graphics are good and the game is fairly easy to run on maxed settings A fair amount of end game content(all though it feels somewhat pointless) The crafting system is my favorite out of any crafting system in any MMO(my main is a crafter/beast master) Vast character creation system with many races to choose from RP is great in this game and it is fun to even just go hang out in a cantina TCG is really fun to play(but the loot cards are really stupid and hard to get) Player driven economy Huge game world theres a lot of good in this game... you just have to look for it
Bads: Classes are too similar and some(such as smuggler) are near totally pointless in a group Economy is pretty messed up. Everything costs A LOT and credits are somewhat hard to earn(unless your main is a trader and you sell really high quality stuff) This game wont survive(as in itl still exist but I imagine many players will quit) once SWTOR hits the shelves(i for one will be quitting for SWTOR) Wookiees need more armor sets Havnt had a space update in ages Coolest items in the game are only available from the TCG and are near impossible to get(unless you have a lot of credits) Still find some pretty bad bugs every once in a while Lots of people quit and come back and new players join all the time so it's really hard to have a stable guild REALLY hard to level to 90 since it gets boring when your by yourself ground PVP is an epic fail(not even worth doing IMO) Jedi is the most played class SWG goes against lore like none other(which is really irritating since im a lore whore) no real smuggling(unless you count the pizza delivery smuggling thats in game now)
Overall I give this game a 7/10 and will continue to play it until SWTOR comes out |

I say if you need a Star Wars fix then by all means try it. Just make sure and keep the negative feelings you aquire for this game here and don't carry them over to TOR. This game is on its last legs and TOR will shut the door permanently.Then hopefully we will get to experience a real star wars MMO for the first time. If you don't want to play the game, don't bore everyone by stating as much. Just don't play and move on because nobody cares to hear a soapbox. |

SOE said that TOR will have no impact on the game. The genres are not even related for god sakes, TOR is becoming more of an SP game then an mmo.
