Well as long as everyone ignores them, they'll run out of money and see Aion as a loss. But, there are gold spammers in all MMOs, the question is, will they ruin the game?

Everythink in Aion requires coin,  i'm surprised they havnt charged for using emotes.

If this game is succsessfull, and belive you me it will be ( by christmas there be millions playing it ) there will be gold spammers glore.

One example....

unemployed person sits on Aion 18 hours a day & earns 100,000 to buy a epic sword.

employed person is out the house 12 hours a day earns nothink in Aion but earns $100, sits on aion spends $5 to get epic sword.

I like the feature that prevents you from talking in channel chat until you are level 5.  I think that this is a good way to try and deter gold spammers.  While this will not stop them, I think it will at least slow them down a bit.  Maybe something NCsoft could do in the future, if gold spamming becomes a problem, is raise the lvl you have to be to talk in channel chat.  Raising that barrier to lvl 10 or 15 would really deter gold spammers, but it would make it a bit harder for players.

They run out of money?

What money?

As long as people are guillable enough, other people will try to steal from them. Offering in game gold sure works, especially if you can get someone to pay for it with credit card details.

Most of the gold spammers don't even have the gold they claim to have. These also do not have any money to run out of, they pay for everything with stolen cc details.

That's quite a claim.

It will be successful, but millions? You're dreaming.

It seems pretty inevitable that Aion will be absolutely overrun with gold spammers.

Like someone else suggested, report them through the help selection on the menu in game. Then block them. I took the time to create a ticket about a gold spammer whispering me. I even received a response the next time I logged in that he had been banned. So they aren't ignoring the spammers.

The people you should really be upset with are the people buying the gold, items, and power leveling services that keep these roaches in business. They are the real problem. If no one bought their services, they would go away on their own.

As 'overrun' as any other popular MMO.

Lol, how did you manage to get a gold spam before finishing the char creation? :P

Anyway, do they have an anonymous mode in Aion? So that I won't show up on who lists and cannot be whispered to?

Nice im glad people are getting ban'd. Still don't get why people want to get gold, items, and power leveling. Just to get a imaginary item or lvl. Even if you don't have alot of time on your hands, whats the point? I play for fun and i think im good at PvP, just not the best rank or anything, oh well i get there slower and my ranks not high. Still have yet to see how AIONs PvP turns out though since im only lvl 11 atm

Only in mmo's can the future affect the past.

9/22/09 10:28:01 AM#20

Lol that was quick for the spam bots, how did they get all that gold and stuff they are selling so soon?

Maybe if there weren't people out there actually supporting them and paying them real money, they wouldn't have been able to buy this game and spam it to death :P

Well that's just it.  People get so preoccupied with becoming the best and having the best they forget to actually have fun.  People are always in such a damn hurry to get to max level and get the best items.  And for what?  Its not like there's a time limit.

This guy posted about how they can con people into giving out their credit card details and just buy stuff with it, so some might not even have gold or whatever to sell. just stealing your info. Of course im sure they had people in bata that know bugs or the fastest way to get money allready.

Just as long as people report them, we can at least keep it somewhat at bay and hopefully curb inflation for awhile so money is still worth something.

Gold spammers already? I'm surprised it took them so long. Just ignore them, they're a part of the MMO community. Most of us here are already at peace with this fact.

Im glad there are gold spammers. That means theres a reason MONEY is in the game *cough* Warhammer *cough*.

And I never understood why pple care so much. So yes it can be annoying to get spammed but you can block and report. It really reaks when they have to ruin the game because they want to prevent gold sellers. Like Runescape (which sucks so bad now it's amazing due to the gold sellers).

Guess whos raising the queues uneccesary next to afk shop abuser?

People who buy gold ingame support longer queue lines because they keep up und raise the business of goldseller and farmer. Each of those fills an open slot on you server too and most of them will not log out except for forced disconnects. They keep on spamming others or grind the next stack of Gold you want to buy from them while you wait outside in a queue.

If anyone bought gold or took one of their service he has no reason to complain about long waiting queues.
