Has anybody played both and which one are you going to stick with? I've been playing Champions and it seems like a complex game with no complexity. I'm just wondering if I should try Aion. |

I test both games on CB, none of this games were for me, however from what i can see ,AION its having lots of issues on early launch, so if i was you maybe stay away from AION for about a week and maybe try CO, my friends are really hook on it , but this is only my personal opinion and of course you gonna have lots of different opinions from other folks and (fanbois). |

i am playing both, champs is great love the no class system, aion is more classic mmo type game nothing really new the flying is cool and all but you get way more types of flying in champs if you like the more classic tank/healer/dps class system mmo games aion is a sure winner for ya i like both so hard to say what you should play, try them both, make up your own mind is best advice i can give you |

I played both in Beta along with my brothers. They both chose Champions, so I'm going along for the ride, however personally I liked Aion a lot better. |

you can actually log into Champions =P We are all ignorant until truth is revealed to us.. However.. How do we know the truth is not in fact a lie.. "When a man has lost everything, he may despair and die. He might give his soul to the fate's... or, he can resolve to take action." "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |

I'm done with aion and yes it's 1st day of preorder release. What did it? Community of aion and the small maps of aion, enough said. |

I think both games are pretty different. superhero vs fantasy.... But there are more differents that are important. CO is more single player casual then Aion. CO is more PvE oriented then Aion. Aion is forced PvP past lvl 20. Aion has a large part of the game based on RvR. So I think if you are looking for a casual game that is just generally fun and solo PvE oriented then CO is probably a good choice. If you are looking for a more involved game that rewards longer term efforts and is big on PvP then Aion is a good choice. Course this all assumes that cryptic makes CO a playable game, adds enough quest content to level, and stops making dramatic changes to powers.

All I can say about Aion is......I hope you like walking/running all over. I don't walk that much irl. |

I played both and frankly Aion has more to offer than CO least in my opinion. I didn't think CO was a bad game by any means but out of the two I had a lot more fun with Aion. |

Aion > Champions why? Maps arn't surrounded by giant globes, the game engine doesn't run like crap, there are EU servers for european servers (if you are not european, don't even thinki about playing champions online). Overall, champions online is an improved version of city of X, which bored me to tears.
CO needs atleast a year before I'll try it again. |

Have to agree with this, i wanted CO to be great but it just wasnt, it ran sluggish and the maps are tiny especially if you consider everyone has travel powers from level 5. I couldnt log on for a week and a half at peak times and ifi did get on i was getting ping of 3000 ish. I tried AION and so far i favour it, it runs better and looks better and even although it had massive queues last night at least it works and has some content. Currently playing GTAIV |

One world and one server is what makes games like CO and EVE online such unique games. For years gamers have been crying against separation of players on basis of territory. You sir are in a minority. I can log 24/7 into CO and always find people from around the world. And as far as 'if you are european don't even think about playing CO' is the most retarded comment i have ever read. I am EU player and i have no idea WTF you are talking about. Internet makes you Stupid!! |

I have and still play both, although since yesterday I've been concentrating on AION since it requires more attention. The games are in completely different settings, so it's possible for me to play both without throwing up from redundancy. Champions Online has a great character customization system. It's nice being able to choose whatever powers you want, customizing your build to your liking. The game itself is very casual. You can solo the majority of the game. There's only a handful of group content. Being able to create your own Villian is a cool feature as well. You get a total of 4 costume slots over your game career too, so that's fun. You can also pay to change each costume whenever you want. The PvP is fun, if you're not playing against a premade. AION, on the other hand has more depth. I don't know this for a fact, it's just a hunch I have from my experience as a MMO gamer since 2002. Character customization doesn't seem anywhere near the level of Champions, but it's a trade off for a game that gives more of a purpose for playing it. If you can afford it, buy both and play them both through the first 30 days. You'll answer your own question as you feel yourself being drawn to log into one game over the next. |

MMORPG Character Monuments ...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest... |
I played both. IN the end, I chose Aion because I like PvP, and that is not Champions Strong suit. However Champions is very fun PVE. I wrote a fairly detailed reviews on both Champions Online: The Review "Super fun PVE … Super bland PvP..and a Lot of Spandex in Between" and The Aion Review: "A highly Polished Game for the Little Korean in All of Us" |

I just want to clear up that I don't hate CO, I love the character customization. I just feel that the guys behind CO made some poor choices such as the giant movement limiting bubbles. Also with my spcs Corei7 950 3.0ghz and 295 gtx nvidia card, the game engine allows me to run the game at 20 FPS with max settings and 55 fps with lowest. I mean, wtf?! There's a lot more but because of this (and because of the connection that myself and many other europeans are experiencing) Aion > CO IMO. I standby my statement of trying the game again in a year where hopefully they've fixed all these issues. |

There's something wrong with your system, then. I run a core i7 920 with a GF GTS 250 with max settings in CO and I average 70 FPS. How much ram do you have? I have 6 gigs, so maybe that's the difference? |

what giant limited movement bubbles? Oooh You've never gotten out of the Crisis zone Scenarios..sad...really cause once you get past level 10 you have complete access to Canada, Desert, and MC and there are no giant bubbles...seriously sad to pass judgement in the starting story areas for those zones lol
If you like pvp and grinding Aion is for you..if you want customization and pve CO is better. As for the instancing there's a reason EVE doesn't need it..its not every expensive to render blank space with some twinkling stars and the occasional planet. Put a 100 or more EvE Ships in a zone and i gaurentee you'll be wishing they instanced off that section of the game. |
