You cant expect them to just add servers for the sake of it. when everything goes to the 15% userbase online per server in a couple days/weeks everyone would be complaining about ghost towns.
What the hell. I dont care. I pay they provide. I dont care why there having troubles or reason for not giving me what I pay for. Part of the deal with pre-ordering was the 2 day start. I cant get away with this 5h1t at my job. And neither could you unless you work at the dmv, post office..... or somethn. I can understand if its a technical problem but all they have to do is open more servers they will have to at release. They will add more at launch why not do it now.
Not so much mad about not getting in (still think its BS) Just tired of everyone supplying excusess and believing PR BS in this industry. A game not being fun, more than understandable. But buissness practice and standards, no , no reason for them to feel its okay for customers not to get there service. |

I had no wait times or queue on Azphel server today. I played for 7 hours without a hitch, when I did DC I was able to get back on immediately. Best launch ever! Everyone else, stop whining please. Thanks! :) |

Signed on right at the start, played 11 hours with out one d/c, never experienced any lag, and quit at lvl 14.
Massive amounts of people. There are several rather serious bottlenecks where only one mob or piece of paper spawn and even if you are in a group, each person needs a separate drop. I hope they look into these few problems because it really slows down leveling when every channel is waiting on the 'Treasure Map' to spawn.
Other than that, incredible launch, especially considering the massive amount of players all starting together in one big bunch. Congrats to NcSoft and their team. |

I have no problem at all. It's very smooth. I do agree with some quest items and mob are hard to loot due to huge population but I would rather playing and seeing people on the server then dead servers like Warhammer or AOC. |

Well not like I did not see this coming. Everyone wanted to be on the most crowded servers. I picked a low pop one because I knew I would not get the que's like the rest of you. Queing lines were in Korea & China for about a week, I expect that NA/EU will not be as long because everyone is not going to play 24/7 for 7 days straight. I have only had one que line and that was for 15 min's, and so far zero crashes and no lag on the server. Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries... |

They filled their end of the deal and that was to provide you with a 2 days headstart. You could have played eylos but decided to jump on the asmodian bandwagon and that is not their fault imo. |

Aion's lauch hands down put every other MMO's lauch/patches/expansions to shame. It also raised the bar for other MMO's to bring that quality of lauch to the next MMO I get.
The first 20 mins of the lauch were a tad chaotic, I'll admit, but me and my friends still logged in with no problems and ther was a TAD rubberbanding. But like I said after 20 mins. The servers lvl'ed out and there was no lag. None what so ever, no matter how populated the area was. No lag. No crashes. No problems.
My server went down at one point around 8 pm for about 15 mins for a quick maintance I assume and I was back on for the rest of the night.
It was as smooth as butter, I loved every minute of it, I was even more excited than I was playing it in the CB. By far the greatest MMO I've played too date, and I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. Veritas Vos Liberabit- The truth will set you free. |

Is everyone forgetting that the game has already been out for a while? Of course it's ready for launch now, it's just localization of a game that was already up and running in another language. :/ |

Even if it was out in asia those were different servers with different expectations they still had to make some testings to make it a smooth launch. |

I am really happy we have long queues on servers at the moment. Yes it sucks to be stuck in the queue but MMOs are a long term thing and not a 2 day thing. When a new MMO comes out everyone plays it loads. That means the servers are packed. I play double my normal hours at launch. After a week or two I cut my playtime back to normal. If everyone does that then the number of people online at any one time would half. On top of that you have the WOW tourists who will quit at the end of the month anyway. If they add enough servers to cope with the current number of players online we will end up with ghost servers in a months time as people go back to normal playtimes and the tourists leave. I would prefer queues for the first few weeks and then active busy servers for the months and years after that rather thn ghost servers. We all saw the disaster that WAR and AOC servers became, lets not have that here. |

There was a sea of players when I got on, so there was latency issues of course, but these issues died down as people started spreading apart. I heard of other people disconnecting, everyone had lag at the beginning, and I heard the que's were measured in hours. |

You still don't get it. AIon has been our for more then 3 years as a live game. People had time to give feedback regarding bugs and company had plenty of time to polish it. You can not make comparison with other MMO which did not have this luxury. You are making it sound as if Aion just came out of one month beta for first time and suddenly set up some standards. Give 3 years to any MMO out there and they will be as good as Aion in terms of playability. Hell even AOC is such a playable game after one year. Moreover if you think you won't hit into any bugs all the way upto max lvl then you are just feeding your own delusions. What level are you right? have you seen all the content that AION has to offer? |

We know the real answer though. :]

This game just might cut down that 400 lb. gorilla in the room that is WOW. I predict that Aion will be big. I just hope NC Soft is ready for the masses that are sure to come! |

What are you smoking and would you please share? The game hasn't officially launched, for one, and two - the 5 hour queues and server crashes hardly constitute a smooth sudo-launch. CoH had a much better launch by far, and so did LotRO. I like Aion, but this headstart launch (which is what it actually is) was pretty much handled incredibly poorly. |

define poorly? Cause I don't think anyone who was online in the servers thinks the game was handled Poorly at all.

Pretty damn smooth. Really impressive honestly. The game is extremely polished, and feels like a finished AAA game which MMO's almost never do out of the gate.
Great fun, and that is what it's all about. |

So the people playing had no complaints... what about the people waiting in the queue for hours at a time? I guess their complaints don't count. :/ |

I highly doubt it was hours. I don't know about the EU servers but the NA servers didn't have any problems. Like I said before my friend had a 670 something Q and I had a ~300 Q and we both were in in ~ 30 mins.
Also. Q Lines aren't something Ncsoft really cares about right now. If anything they love it because they know how many more people want to play. They will soon lvl everything out and all will be well. Day one of the headstart is hardly the time to worry about server Q's.... 400,000 people logging into (what was it?) ~10 servers, yeah there will be a Q. But you know what? While all you poor souls were stuck in Q. There was no overload lag in the servers you guys were trying to get into. We played perfect, Undisturbed games. Just to let you know, not every server is like yours. My guilds server had over 3k Q and it was taking atleast 1-2 hours...so yea |
