How many times have they already launched Aion? I mean they have been playing it in the east for a while now.

yeah they've been playing this game for a while in korea you guys are just late to the party. if WoW was your first MMO i don't feel you have an opinion here. |

All the Aion team did was translate and fix the English language and grammar of the games linguistic content and then re-release in the west. Big deal no real accomplishment there. Not saying its a bad game...but its certainly not to be remembered as a clean release compared to other games. Besides "polished" is subjective. For instance: WoW was polished compared to EQ1, and Vanguard was polished compared to Shadowbane... you do the conceptual math.

There are servers with no queue, as well as those with 30 minutes or less. The ones who have/had to wait are the ones who insisted on playing a particular server. |

I'm very impressed so far, and I've experienced many many launches. This is the best so far, but as others have mentioned, we can't reeeeally say til Tuesday afternoon. ------------------------------ |

And as for the person I quoted above. How would 100 more servers make any difference if people flock to single servers for various reasons: Guilds, Friends, More PvP, more groups etc etc? More servers does NOT help at all if there are already servers that are underpopulated. As seems to be the case here. |

Wouldn't that just be 10 more servers you can't go to because they're not the one that your legion picked? There are servers with NO QUEUE, why would they need more servers? |

Had to wait for 45 mins, played for 3 hours without any problems except a few lag spikes furing 2 minutes. Best launch ever. |

After sitting in a queue for over four hours with at least one more to go, I don't have anything good to say about the game yet. NCSoft did not plan correctly for this. And the retail isn't until Tuesday! NcSoft has perfected the paid for grindfest, and I am sad because of it :-( |

Actually it's a figure of speech because they really need alot of more servers. And laughing at others who are not having a good time makes you a sadistic ass hole and that isn't something to brag about son. |

I am going to ask you then. How do you propose NCSoft do -anything- about this problem. How do MORE servers help with this problem in ANY sort of way? As long as there are servers that have no waiting to get in at all, the headstart program isn't filled out, the game not at full capacity.
The only way they could do something about that would be to assign players to random servers so they all fill up equally. But no one wants that, now do they?
And laughing at people who whine about not being able to log in first thing on a headstart is not sadistic. Particularly when they COULD log in, but don't want to go to another server (which is understandable) but then go ahead and blame NCSoft for all the people who happen to choose the same server.
Now again. How do you suppose NCSoft should stop people from choosing the same server? Hm? When you come up with an answer for that, you have a right to call this launch a failure.
As far as I've been told, the servers are up and running, there are no major lag issues, the servers are stable and quite a few of them are not nearly filled up. |

Zikel server, 2709 in the queue, 3 hour 46 minute wait Trinel, 2283, 3h 49m Israphel, 673, 45m Lumiel, 1793, 1h 30m Azphel, 2470, 3h 30m Marchutan, 70, 15m (tried it but name's are taken)

Actually, it is their fault because I have my names reserved on the server I WANT to play on but I am sorry, it has a 2800 person queue. Oh and wait, wasn't that the point of early character creation as well? Had I known there would be 2800 person queues, I would have reserved my names on every server. Oh wait, I was limited to only 2 characters. At some point, even you fanbots have got to recognize NCSOft dropped the ball at least a little. |

3 to 4.5 hour que times, to me, are quite unprofessional. This lets me know NCSoft was not prepared while knowing the exact number of people that would be logging in due to the number of pre-orders purchased. Wait until launch-day when they have no idea how many folks will be logging in; it will be the worst launch in the history of MMO's in terms of playability rivaling SWG and Anarchy Online. The servers can be up and running but a huge number of customers will be qued up for 3-4 hours making the game, virtually, unplayable for them. Sorry but that's how I see it. I've been playing MMO's since UO's beta and this pre-order launch certainly equals SWG's and AO's in terms of not being able to play due to a company's non-professional North American launch. |
