Hello fellow Aion enthusiasts,

I was wondering if I need to pay for the first month of Aion to be able to log in and play tonight at the headstart? Or is this included to the first free month in the box thing?

This is my first NCsoft account/game so I don't really know. Also, the website appears to be down...and google isn't that helpful.

<edit> I do not have a cc. I cannot fill in any IDEAL or auto payment bank info on my account page anywhere. I do not have a timecard lying around. I thought headstart included first 30 days?

it should be free.

the free 30 days as far as i know start after the headstart

But you still need to enter your credit card details else you can't play the free month.

You get the typical first month free. Then you pay a monthly subscription fee.

Wait so I have to enter credit card details? So there are no game cards for this game?

I can't enther cc details since I do not have a cc. Can't I use gamecards or pay with IDEAL? And should I enter this kind of info?

I don't think there are game time card for aion yet dunno I never used them sorry can't help there.

Ncsoft time cards should work for aion

I haven't been asked for my CC number yet for HeadStart. I think its free until the official release.

I cannot enter my bank information anywhere to pay with IDEAL or automatic payment on the NCsoft account page, nor do I have a gamecard from NCsoft ....

Does this mean I cannot play at headstart in a few hours? ... :O

There are gamecards, as well as payment via PayPal and Credit Cards...

As you don't have a retail key yet, you shouldn't be able to enter cc info yet. Headstart is expected to last a day or 2 after release for people to get their retail keys.

 As far as I know when you register your account with Ncsoft, they ask for your CC and payment option. You don't get charged for the first month cause it's free but i'm almost 100% sure you need a CC or gamecard on it like any MMO.

That's my understanding too. Retail keys I don't think have been released yet.

You can find game cards from different sites. Just type on google : Aion gamecard .

once you get your retail key and enter that info into your NCsoft account it will ask for credit card info or game card. You will not be charged for the first month its so they have your payment info on file so you can continue gaming without interruption, after your first free 30 days

No, you only need to add your credit card only to have a payment method after the 30 free days. You will not be billed untill then.

First, go to "use a serial code" , enter it, then create your game account. At the next page you will see few options on how you can pay AFTER 30 days, including credit card, game card and paypal . As i said, you need to google : Aion gamecard in order to buy a gamecard 30/60 days.

I will be extremely pissed if I cannot enter into the headstart. I know in Warhammer's headstart you didn't have to enter any information to play, you just played. I would hope it would be the same here.

Unless you gotten the Serial # from your game copy I'm almost 100% sure you can't get into the headstart, although i guess i should say 99.9% sure because there is always the possibility that I'm wrong. The preorder code that got you into the beta's doesn't get you into the headstart, at least i don't believe it does, but for your sakes I hope so. 

Well that would be ridiculous because those of us who ordered with retailers such as gamestop have to wait till tuesday to purchase the game.
