Really dosen't matter, just pick any realm its more of a personal choice rather than which realm is better. |

I would say go for a medium population server. With High, you run the risk of queues. If you're playing on an open-PvP server, you might also want to check out the faction split between horde and alliance. If you find yourself eternally outnumbered (or outnumbering your enemy) then it can make PvP problematic and/or annoying. Ah, and please don't roll on an RP server unless you intend to abide by the RP rules. :) |

Hellscream is a high pop server and a great server to be on for both factions. Don't pick any server on the Vindication Battle Group. Instances were jacked last time I was there. I spent 2hrs trying to get into H UP walking in circles before I transferred to Hellscream. It had been like that for awhile and I doubt it's been fixed. If you wanted to get into a low level instance, you were just screwed. Heroics have priority. Also, I wouldn't suggest a PVP server. World PVP in WoW is beyond the most retarded f'ing thing I've ever seen.

Dragonblight is a core server with good population around the clock, but it's Alliance is so immature and rude it's almost scary. ____________________________ "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but I know World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein |

Assuming your on EU, don't pick Magtheridon. It's home to the worlds Best guild and it's packed. Originally posted by --Name edited out--

The first question is " Do you want open pvp". The second question is " Are the bonuses of a high population server worth the headaches" If you are a mostly solo player, you might be more content on a low population server. You won't have to compete with other players for quest mobs, or for crafting nodes etc. It's also easier to find rare mobs and things like that. But the downside is you will have a harder time finding groups for dungeons at endgame. I play on Fenris, which is a medium population PVE server. I play horde, which is slightly outnumbered... but really that part doesn't matter because we win Wintergrasp 50% of the time and with the recent changes to BG's, being outnumbered there doesn't matter either. It's also easier to build a name for yourself on a medium or low pop server. I pug heal a lot, and as soon as I log in I usually get messages from tanks asking if I will heal them. On the same token, I also have a big list of 'good tanks' and I generally know who the bad tanks are. |
