I was wondering what classes you people are going to play.
|

|
Spiritmaster ^.^! |
|||
|
Templar |
|||
|
Assassin. |
|||
|
Sorcerer most likely =] |

I was a little nervous when I saw that only 5.9% chose Templar...then I saw that only 17 people had voted so far....whew. Gotta have tanks. Of course, I didn't help much...i'm a Chanter :P |

Having played the majority of the classes on the Chinese client I find myself stuck between cleric and chanter. It is surprising how few gladiators there are going to be, according to this poll and other similar ones. |

Very early in the poll, the numbers look a bit goofy (only 25 votes) In other games I've always avoided a ranger type class due to it being overplayed. Might play it in this game? |

Funny how all the past polls show SM dead last ..... But now that pets can fly it is way up there. Am still going to play Chanter tho. Played Aoc/DDO/FFXI/WAR Waiting for FFXIV =)) |

I know its only temp... but never saw spirit master lead this type of poll yet hehe :-p So few clerics? Crazy good class for 1v1 and group pvp along with being great for group PvE - ya I'm here |

I'm going Assassin as my main and still trying to decide what to play w/ my friend. Leaning towards a chanter atm. My friend will be playing a sorc. |

Sorcerer. If this poll is a real indications of things to come, we will be "LF1M for xxx need tank!"

Well that's my 2 cents worth, your mileage may vary. |
I have a Asmodian warrior on one server and a Elyos mage on another. It gives me the best of both worlds IMHO. I'm old not dead. (Nov8tr is pronounced innovator) |

Going to play cleric. Always loved being the healer. |

Gladiator-I like the ability to use bows when rooted or any other time |
|||
|
I will be a cleric, with either a templar or gladiator alt (undecided yet). |

How can you be re-tarded if you are already tarded? |
Well I want to have a Priest (either Chanter or Cleric, undecided yet, but i marked Chanter) as my main and an Assassin and Warrior as my alts.

Well I voted Gladiator, but now seeing the results I'm not sure anymore because I don't wanna play a class that there are a lot of! Maybe Assassin then... |

I was surprised too, at this point Ranger only says 6%... I've always liked that flavor of play - in whichever MMO I played I liked that style. WoW kind of sucked with the hunter pop being so high, at least before DKs broke loose... The mobs of players playing hunters BADLY made it sort of hard on guys who played it well to get around the stereotypes. Everquest 1 ranger was fun, loved the old school ranger kite. Yeah I'll be doing the ranger thing, and glad it isn't the fotm, even if that probably means their punches are weak. ;-)

I believe this is mostly because Ranger is one of the most difficult and slow leveling classes to play in Aion (I have heard this from many people, I did not get very far on my own). They also have to purchase ammo, which while not terribly expensive, is an added cost. The class balancing in Aion is different than other MMOs. The priestly types are actually very durable, armored, and well-rounded, so they are easier to play then even straight melee classes. I'm surprised to see so few assassins, because the polls on Korean sites show them making up over 25% of their server playerbases. However, they're also difficult to play (although I hear they are easier to play than Rangers by far). This may be because they are a handy class for PvP. I think when the game opens to the public we're going to see a rush of stealth-types, which will be replaced gradually by easier and more durable classes like chanters. |

Im going to be a Cleric heals are always needed in PvP :) |

Originally posted by Tisiphone Quite the contrary actually. I believe most people are gonna start off by playing durable healing classes such as the Cleric and Chanter and basically deem them the Paladin classes of Aion. By the time they hit mid 20s or 30s or wherever the switch off may be, they're most likely going to roll something else. To sum it up, I think the healing classes like Chanters and Clerics will be replaced later on with more and more Assassins because the stealth mechanic is a huge advantage in any PvP game. "IRL is a pretty upstanding MMO with thousands of classes, a lot of PvP and even some pretty unique emotes and titles you can acquire. Explore that world first, then we'll talk about this virtual one." |
