Okay, hopefully I am not reasking something that was answered... normally I do not preorder but I am hoping to get into Aion via Head Start program.  I am wondering though, I know you can order via a retailer store/online (box) and online via NCsoft (digital), but I want to know if I order it from the retailer will I receive a copy of my code to start on the 20th, or will I have to wait for shipping/received before I even get to play which defeats the purpose?

I rather have the actual box, as along with the digital bonus items you get like the soundtrack/posters, etc that you won't get with a digital download.  Let me know, thank!

Interesting question. I would imagine that the retailer you wish to purchase the box version from should be able to answer this for you.

They may give you the key upon reciept of funds. I prefer sites such as D2D since I don't have to worry about scratching up a disc and rebuying the game, etc..

The headstart is for pre-order customers only.

What that means for you purchasing the game from a retail store is that you would have to find one that still has an Aion pre-order box left.  (There is a key in that box that flags your Aion account as "Preorder".)

The retail key you would get from purchasing the game, which will not be available until the 21st or 22nd (conflicting reports), will not get you access to the headstart even if they gave it to you on the 20th.

I'm also not sure if digital download sites are still offering pre-order keys or not.

Bioware did not make Knights of the old Republic 2.
