Actually, if you want a mature crowd, try Landroval. Its a RP server with a healthy population.

Brandywine is probably one of the highest populated servers... you may find it laggy.

I'm on Meneldor, and I love it.  Very healthy population, helpful, and if you eventually want to PvMP, there is a lot going on.  I'd say this is more an East Coast server, as it seems pretty busy during times when East Coasters would be playing.

Good Luck!

I made my trial on that server and I only had annoyance. Server lag (especially the week-end), computer lag in Bree and Esteldin and quest mob queue (several grp or ppl running in the same area= camping). There is also a lot of competition on the ressources, if you choose to be a prospector you will have to be fast if you see a silver vein :P

Anyway, I went to Meneldor after getting my sub and this server is perfect for me. Medium population, mean that you will never have any problem to find a grp for the important part of the game, like Great Barrow, book epic quests, etc. and the community is really tight.

If you are a mature gamer and looking for a mature crowd, go Landroval. If you are a "leet speaking gamerz", go with Brandywine.

Alternatively, if you don't care for the more cerebral elements of the Landroval crowd, but the Brandywine server is too populated for you, go with Elendilmir. Landroval and Elendilmir both have about the same population and come in second after Brandywine.

As a former Brandywine player, there is no l33t speak on Brandywine. The player base of LOTRO is generally devoid of such players.
