I have to say that the move to open world is a positive light for me in GW2 seeing as Anet has stated that instancing will still be kept for dungeons and story driven missions. I think this will give GW2 a feel of GW1 and innovation of a open world free to explore and interact with the players and world around you, it will make the world feel more alive while still holding to the story driven aspect of GW1 that so many people either love or hate.

I love open world.  Guild Wars 2 being open world is one of the main attractions for me.

Same reason I will give Guild wars 2 ago :)

GW is awesome. The best ever PVP I've experienced in an MMO. I'd even say its my favourite MMO of all time.

And it being F2P, it was like my dream MMO.

The fact that EVERYTHING is instanced really apealled to me. It was what set it a part from other "generic" MMOs.

But...

Why open world for GW2? :(

I think being open world is going to make GW lose its identity.

This is a MAJOR turn off for me.

What is wrong with you? Open world with instanced dungeons will be the best thing that could ever happen to Guild Wars if done right!  Have you EVER even played a P2P open world MMO?
