OMG I just came back from work tired as shit and logged on started to pre create my toon and boom I got disconnected and now says all servers down, if this continue like this tonight and tomorrow I still have time to cancel preorder I mean not go pay for it at best buy.

Plus name I wanted is taken allready /cry

Well, they´ve been having alot of trouble, i for example "lost" my aion client, (the ultra short version) but it works now. you need to bear in mind that perhaps a few hundred thousand at the same time, is trying to use the same client..im sure it will work for you eventually :)

Ps: my name was taken too, well...at least one of them :) Still got Malant left  ;)

Lol dw dude there is no need to cancel. they probably had some issue they'll fix it

Whats the benefit for preorder preselect thing 1) can't login 2) name allready taken?

I more pissed name was taken and they always have problems? I thought that was just OB but I thought wrong.

When my son checked the server we wanted wouldn't let you create an Asmo character which is where our guild is going to reside so we're waiting to see if it opens up again.

My legion is elyios so same message on my server about asmo.

as i post this, i can tell i just "logged in"  but some of my friends have problems too, its to be exspected, i have yet to see a perfectly smooth launch..

it could be however, that you advanced setting in the launcher is incorrect, simply click files->settings->advanced and choose eu (if u have been playing NA CB

AION the next big MMO.  lol what a waste of time.

I was creating my toon when they discoed me, I logged in just fine then servers were all down, now they are up but only server i can log is not my legion server and its only 1 that allows me to log.

Well, i wont start defending aion like a rabid fanboi, but the benefit is just what it says, choose your name, design your char, nothing more...that you cant log in sux, neither could i until an hour or so into the start, and lost my primary name...but that happens :)

I agree, thats something that should not happen, i hope they get the server up and fix it so you can join your legion m8! :)

This is coming from someone who has seen several game launches, don't start panicing at a single random server down -.-.

I will seriously laugh at you if you cancelled JUST because there was a server down, there is NO way a MMO launch will go smoothly without any sudden login/character server going down at some point. The only one I recall that didn't crash too much was WAR, because of the ridiculous amounts of different servers, the stress was well split, but that ruined a good part of the game in the long run because there were TOO MANY servers.

You kids have way too high expectations, I'd love to see how you'd react if you had to manage something for 100s of people and something went wrong.

Same. And I had been trying since 3pm. Finally was able to log in, but couldn't create Asmo on the guild's chosen server, so I had to choose another server. Funny thing is one of my friends just got rejected on the server that I chose. Must be a boatload of people creating chars or Elyos isn't getting any love!

 

As someone pointed out there are 10s of thousands of people lining up to grab names. *shrug* I logged on basically so I had a character made and to confirm they didn't have issues with pre-order/early access.  If someone quits because they don't get their name of choice thats kind of sad, but I suppose I wouldn't want to have people like that on my server anyways.

 OK finally got both main and alt done ^^ not the names I thought but anyways I'm ready for sunday.
