How can you be re-tarded if you are already tarded?

Today I got in a rear end colission with another driver because my brakes locked due to sliding. My front was messed up, with the hood being bent upwards, and the radiator smashed a bit, and it began to leak radiator fluid like crazy. Both my headlights were broken and the bumper scratched up, I was wondering if just based on that information one could give me an estimate.

You probably have much worse then you realize.  I would estimate at most $6k.  At least $1300.  If you have insurance chances are you can get reimbursed on most of that.

That sounds like a potential total to me, unless you have a pretty nice car. Body work, up front electronics and lights, possible engine damage (and definitely lots of under the hood work either way).

There's a pretty wide range of prices it can fall into, depending on what specifically requires repair, the car you own, and the pricing of the local auto shops.

Don't forget the potential damage to the chassis due to the impact.  It might have warped depending on how hard you hit and by the sounds of it you certainly caused enough damage for this to be a potential problem.  I think by the time they fix your front end, get all the replacement parts like the radiator, headlights, bumper and hood, probably the front side panels it's looking like quite some money involved.  Assuming there's no damage to the engine you still have to worry about the car never really driving like it used to.

See what your insurance will give you and then have a mechanic look at it.  If there's damage to the engine I'd consider selling it's parts that were undamaged in hopes of getting some money back and taking the rest to the scrap yard and getting money back for scrap steel.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I porn surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", I muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, "404."

Justification is an event. Sanctification is a process.
