The thing is that != doesn't actually assign a value, but returns a boolean value based on it's operands.

I really do not like Aion, but I wanted to say that I loved this post and I love that you said this. People should be able to choose what games they want to play, say they like a game, or say they do not, without being heckled constantly. You chose to pre-order a game so you could play it early, and get it when it came out. You want to play it because you think it is fun. And this is what we all should do, and be happy to do. Thank you.

Also, this was hilarious.

WTF? No subscription fee?

I don't get it though... it would make more sense if he merely set Runescape = false, or initialized a Runescape object set Runescape.goodgame = false, or ..

Even better: He could make a function called good_game and call it on Runescape, which would throw an exception (or simply crash in other languages) .

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

I don't like Aion, but it is the best MMO to date meaning we have something new, polished, and a lot of PvP.

I've said it before. Aion is not the best. Everything is not new. But... It's the best new thing out there right now. And that's good enough for me.

I also pre-ordered to play it... and had second thoughts. But there just isn't anything else out there that is good enough and not outdated to me.

Playing: Star Wars: The Old Republic
-----------------
Excited for: Guild Wars 2
-----------------
Have Played: World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI, Guild Wars, Lord of the Rings Online, Vanguard, City of Heroes/Villians, EverQuest 2, Tabula Rasa, Dungeons & Dragons Online, The Chronical of Spellborn, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan. Champions Online, Aion
-----------------
Favorite MMO: Final Fantasy XI

Me too, it is amazing how Aion's community has really taken a leap forward. So many people are now interested in this new MMO and the hype has skyrocketed. I really hope that people will enjoy this MMO because I really want to have at least someone to play with. And, it'll be fun to have others with me to play Aion.

Cannot wait to play on Sept 20th.

By the way, that function in your signature still doesn't do anything.

On a sidenote.....

I pre-ordered AION and promptly cancelled my pre-order during CBT. And not because of anything anyone said, but just because I WANTED to! :)

I'm not being sarcastic here, just showing that the door does indeed....swing both ways. Yeah...kinky too. ;) (dumb joke)

I have pre-ordered and continued to play many a game because someone ELSE thought it was good. I'm just as proud of myself for doing what I wanted to in reverse of the OP's choice.  Because honestly....only YOU know what game best "fits" YOU. None of us should ever buy or NOT buy a game because of what someone else thinks. That "someone else" isn't paying your monthly fees or investing the time in your character.

So hip hip hooray for all of us having....zomg....A MIND OF OUR OWN!  w00t! :)

I also really  hope you guys enjoy AION. I may re-visit it at a later date. But for now....I will gladly listen to the AION tales from those who have chosen to play during the "early days."

But you can't be satisfied with a MMORPG that isn't loaded with "innovative design decisions"!
Those retards decided instead to make a game that works fluently and is virtually bugfree, what a herecy in a MMORPG world!

Two teasers that make me itch and wish there was timetravelling invented:
Aion PvP I
Aion PvP II

And for the challenged people, yes, I was being sarcastic... ;)
