Because i've discussed SL on websites that don't have anything to do with sl and i get responses like these. "I recall, you came to the conclusion that no one here was really into "Virtual Worlds" last time, got mad and left. Any reason you are doing it again? My advice? Chill out. Talk about music. Leave the virtual world talk to those on a virtual world forum. You seem like a nice enough kid. Seriously, I think you'd enjoy hanging out here, but you should really stop with the Second life"
" I tried to care... but failed."
"What are your thoughts on this guy? they are in regards to Second Life True they're all in TP...but we have topics of substance there." Why is there so much hate against SL? |

Asking for help on the internet is like asking a swarm of bees why they are stinging you! |
Based on the "examples" you posted (alteast one of those sounded like a direct quote to me) I'm guessing the replies you have gotten had nothing to do with people having any "hate" for Second Life. It seems that it has more to do with you attempting to discuss Second Life on forums where the topic of discussion has nothing to do with Second Life and the users of said forum simply wishing to keep it that way. In general, the majority of forums you visit on the internet are going to have one specific topic which the majority of dicsussion will revolve around. Forum moderators will want to enforce the forum rules to keep all discussions on that topic. So if you go to a music forum and discuss Second Life instead of music, don't be suprised when they ask you to either limit yourself to discussing music or leave. It would be like if someone came onto your Second Life forum and started talking about 1985 Ford Mustangs. You probably aren't interested in Mustangs, so you would either would ignore the topic or ask them to take their discussion elsewhere. Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn't. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide against your conviction is to be an unqualified and inexcusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. ~Mark Twain |
